Topic: I demand a sequel to Kirby's Dream Course!

I bought the original on the VC and it is spectacular. It is my absolute favorite game I've bought so far on the VC that I had never played before that (though upcoming games such as Super Metroid, Super Mario RPG, and Earthbound will likely surpass it). Miniature golf is a game that gets made all the time (mostly on the PC side of things) but the addition of Kirby's ability to use powers he got from enemies and working that into the challenge of each hole changes the game subtly, but powerfully. Nintendo needs to make a new one for the Wii, and also some version for the DS (either a remake of the original, a new one, or preferably both in one).

Kirby's Dream Course is one of THE hardest Kirby game ever. I can't even get past the first world.

It is tough at first, but once I got it (mostly) down I couldn't stop, especially since I'm the kind of person who really loves playing to beat my own (or a friend's) high (or in this case, low) score. It's a tough time figuring out what power levels correspond to what shots, and you'll want to throw the controller across the room when Kirby comes to a stop right on the edge of the cup where, if there was any kind of real physics in the game, he would have fallen over the edge, for the hundredth time, but by that point you're completely addicted and there's no way out.

Well the Kirby game that was in developement for the Gamecube was looking like a sequel to Super Star.  It's been reported that this was moved to the Wii early this year but that's all we know for now.

Hopefully it'll come out sometime in 2008 since it's been in development for forever now.

I also agree the Kirby's Dream Course is a game that needs a sequel, and what better time then now.

Things to include:

1)More Environmental hazards to avoid, and also to use to your advantage.
2)More enemies and powers for Kirby to use to get that perfect putt.
3)A Multi-player experience that isn't turn based.  Let everyone start hitting at the same time.  After your Kirby stops moving you must point and click him to start your next put.  The game now becomes about planing your hit and Speed.  Plus, screwing up your opponents shot by hitting him and stealing his power will be more rewarding, when you do it right before a great putt for Birdie.
4)Online Play
5)Create your own course.  With online available, and Wii 24Connect available.  People should be able to create their very own 8 whole course that they can save and challenge friends to play online.  All your friends will have access to your course when you are playing Kirby Dream Course, and players records will be stored on your memory so you can see how all your friends do on your course.  Then you can update and redesign your own course whenever you feel like it.  

This game would be a dream game to have for the Wii, and I think simple graphics would be best.  Please Nintendo make this game.

A course editor would be fantastic, I didn't even think of that.

For the control I was thinking more along the lines of Billiards in Wii Play than a normal golf putt. It would feel a little weird playing the game like putting in Wii Sports, and the Billiards control from Wii Play would allow for easy spin control and the same lack of concrete knowledge of what power level will cause Kirby to move a certain distance,

Whatever they would choose to control it needs to be something, that can be down with several players at the same time.  I do believe the everyone hitting at the same time needs to be incorporated to add to the craziness of the game.  I like your idea for the Billiards control to Kirby, but I think I still am working things out in my head.

Kirby Super Star is just a sidescrolling Kirby game of which many have been made since.  Does calling a game "Kirby Super Star 2" somehow make it better?  Now I love Kirby Super Star but it's really just a REALLY great Kirby game.

I remember renting this game when it was out for SNES and having a lot of fun with it.  I just downloaded it last night.  I'm starting to remember how good it really was for it's time.    Yes, put me on the sequel campaign.  I think the sequel might fare better on DS than the Wii though.  The touch screen controls would be precise for a newer gen incarnation of the game.  Plus, who's going to argue with single-cartridge wireless play for up to 4 players and 8 players online?
