Might as well put Shiek and Ganondorf in the confirmed.  Aonuma said he's working on character models for Sakurai, and it's highly doubtful that he'd do that only to have them not be in the game.

But that doesn't mean they couldn't be Assist Trophies, which probably isn't likely for Ganondorf, but it certainly is for Sheik...

Bill:  Actually it isn't likely Shiek is an assist character.  Shiek is apart of the design of the Princess Zelda in Brawl...even if the updated design is from Twilight Princess.

Shiek has always been Zelda in disguise.

Hence the awesome entrance Zelda had in the recent video clip.  It proves she has those Sheik type moves with the disappearing and reappearing act.

Well the disappearing and reappearing is a direct rip of her B-up in melee.

There's no evidence yet of this being the case this time around, so I'll run with my possibilities (not saying Sheik WILL be an AT, saying it's POSSIBLE) and you run with yours...

Sheik could also potentially be a completely separate character...The fact of the matter is, we just don't know yet...

It is great to see another new character confirmed.  I find it amazing that new characters are being confirmed more and not even all the original characters have been confirmed yet.

Also, Spak- when was Ganondorf spotted?  (aside from cloud conjectures)

Tanookisuit:  Ganondorf was mentioned by the director of Twilight Princess to be in the game...it isn't 100% confirmation, but is about 80%.  

Luigi, I guess I just forgot to throw him in there...but we know he will be playable.

By the way...Tanooki Suit should really be Tanuki Suit, they changed the spelling so "stupid" Americans can pronounce it easier.

You should also add "Animal Crossing Character" to the Highly Speculated Characters list since the stage and item have an Animal Crossing icon which pretty much means there's a 100% chance an Animal Crossing character is in the game.  Only things related to playable characters have had series icons next to them while the rest have the Smash Bros logo.

Only things related to playable character or stages have series icons next to them... until there is a stage from another game featured without its own logo I wouldn't say this is a "100%" confirmation of a Animal Crossing character being playable.

New Character revealed and I have updated the page.  20 characters and counting...what is really great about the 20 characters is that many of them are new comers so we haven't counted returning cast that hasn't been announced.  This game is going to be huge.

I am kinda sad nobody thought of Diddy Kong before in our rumored section, I guess we always just think Rare when we think of Donkey Kong Country and figure it is impossible.

I always wanted Diddy Kong in Smash Bros, and I'm glad he's finally gonna be in it. Now we just need Dixie, but she can be an assist trophy. Having them two in the Ice Climbers style would be cool too.

I just find it funny how they showed off the opening scene, THEN all after the fact, confirmed Peach as a playable character.

He's always been in my potential character list, but I didn't talk about him because he's not one I am personally interested in (along with Balloon Fighter and Little Mac)...As for the Rare tie, Krystal has a huge chance of being in...

My bet is: there is only one playable, normal, Link in the game. I don't expect to see a playable Young Link back, even if he takes on the cel-shaded look.
