The Sister Kenny Rehabilitation Institute at Minneapolis' Abbott Northwestern Hospital aims to aid patients who have suffered from strokes by giving them access to the popular Wii pack-in, Wii Sports, and a Wii-mote, putting the fun back in motor function recovery.


It's nice to see that Wii helping stroke victims out.

Jack Thompson: Clearly GOD wanted these people to die! By Nintendo helping them recuperate, they are directly interfering with God's will!

I seriously wonder if there's ever going to be one of those 'real' (i.e. less than 90% frivolous) lawsuits against the Wii, like with the XBox last generation and the cop that was killed by the kid who 'played too many games'.  

Also, has Jack Thompson ever said anything explicit about Nintendo's consoles or games? Most of his vitriol is directed against GTA and Rockstar in general.

Yeah, because the EM radiation emitted by the Wii's wireless transmitter induced the hemoglobin in the person's blood to stick together, creating a giant clot. Or something.

CONFIRMED: Nintendo to phase in thicker wrist straps, phase out all Internet connectivity, in an attempt to head off accusations of a health hazard. And because they hate 1337 H4RDC0R3 gamers.

Something tells me there'll be a lot of WiiFit injuries of people... NORMAL people... just falling over because they're too engrossed in the game.

Nintendo will take care of that by adding another "stand on the wii fit board in a clear space surrounded by pillows" warning message right after the Wii Wrist Strap message upon game bootup.
