Escape from Bug Island in stores today!
« on: July 25, 2007, 04:46:57 AM »
This struck me as funny. Upon going to IGN.com the site is plastered with ads for this game "Escape from Bug Island" which, evidently, is in stores today (July 25).

Has anyone else even heard of this game? Kinda flew under the radar for me.

The most hilarious thing is the tag-line for the game "The creepiest survival horror game on the Nintendo Wii". Which is evidently a trademarked phrase.

Hah, and I'm sure they trademarked it from when they were the only survival horror game on the Wii.

This is the American version of Necro-nesia, which wasn't received all that well over in Moonland.

Just sayin'.
I must find a way to use "burninate" more in my daily speech.

What about RE4? Although ammo is much more plentiful there than most in the genre.

I'll be getting this in through Gamefly so I should have some impressions within the next week, unless Strikers eats me alive.

I heard this game was very buggy (no pun intended) and glitchy when it was released in Japan. Supposedly they fixed some of the issues for the US release so we'll see.

Wow, what did IceCold say?  Hmm....
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Yeah I understand they cleaned up some of the buggyness for the North American release, but as I understand it, the core gameplay was crap anyways.

I had physical pain from playing it at E3 2006. From what I've heard, it has changed very little since then.

This is right up Sega's alley.

This could've been their premiere Wii first person light gun blunt object hacking game.

Kairon hasn't chimed in here yet about how good the game is?

That's because Kairon only buys games he anticipates he'll enjoy.

This game, and that video, is concrete proof that a developer needs to hire the crew from Mystery Science Theater 3000, buy up really bad games, and then add commentary through out them that is related as the game is played. The scene where the fish "flies" and lands next to the main guy, and then start flying around in mass, is unintentional comic gold.

I remember Necro-Nersia at E3 last year.  I believe I said something along the lines of "this game is going to be very bad."  Surprise surprise, it was.

Well isn't that nice? On a forum where the moderators barely even visit the boards, let alone administrate them, my mild comment is conveniently censored while some exponentially worse posts are ignored.
