Oh, we can't have one thread with both speakers? =3

I love all the little behind-the-scenes stories that Aonuma and Miyamoto bring up...They are always amusing and open up to just how development of awesome games like Phantom Hourglass really is...

I've almost beaten Phantom Hourglass, and it's incredibly fantastic, so there's no worries there...And with the success of the game over in Japan, I hope there will be another DS game out before the next generation of handhelds begins...

Q: The setting of the games hasn't really changed. Maybe the past or the future or sci-fi or a wildly different setting?

He's thought about things like putting Link in a modern setting or WWII settings, like how Link would react to being there. He's still trying to figure out how to get that in a game, however.

.....that would be so weird.

Also I am so hyped about Phantom Hourglass . . . it looks like a lot of time and effort was put into this game and I can't wait to get it.

but when talking to Miyamoto he questioned the playability of one thing in particular. Aonuma snapped back, "No, you idiot!"

As a game designer you should look at all aspects and gameplay possibilities...To think Aonuma or another else on the Zelda team would put in a bad idea that didn't fit with Zelda is preposterous...

Haha, Aonouma's all right! I personally wonder about Miyamoto's suggestion of making Link a girl... nah... maybe? ... nah...

Q: Phantom Hourglass is a sequel to Wind Waker; would you like to do more direct sequels in the future?

"Half-jokingly I've been saying the sea is vast, and maybe that's something we can explore." There could be a sequel to Twlight Princess, but it could be anything, like other games.

Oooh... I've always been dreaming of like... the sea done RIGHT.

Also, Link should be a pirate. Or a sailor. Something like that. Ninja maybe?

Genius Kairon, genius.  Link should be a Space Pirate, as part of a crossover Nintendo series, The Legend of Metroid:  The Ocarina of Fusion.

We're venturing into freaking sweet territory here.

Female Link would be great, at the very least to see the internet explode after a teaser trailer revealing the fact... =D

no crossovers, we have smash for that!

I disagree people are getting into the game for the controls, they are getting into the game because its Zelda, its awesome, and we the zelda geeks generate enough buzz around it that people end up giving it a try. The DS can be a trojan horse to get my grandma to play zelda, and I'm sure she'd love it if she gives it a tiny chance. My female cousin fell in love with Ocarina after I introduced her to it, she enjoyed TP as well. Zelda games are incredibly friendly for anyone.

Oh and NEVER LISTEN TO YOUR FANBOYS EVER AGAIN, even them would agree with this after TP.

Why reinvent Link as a girl when you could just make a Zelda game featuring...gasp...ZELDA as the playable character?

This is why we don't have Zelda star in a game.

I know Nintendo had nothing to do with those games but still it's funny.

Zelda is the star of Zelda, that's why they call it Legend of Zelda.

I really hope Aonuma isn't serious about a modern day Zelda, that would REALLY suck.
