Hardboiled, roach-ridden trailer here.

Bugs. Detective Noir. Getting shot 47 times... It's a great time to be alive.

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

Not really related to the game, but why does that site have Nintendo systems arranged to be last? It goes like this: "Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, Xbox, GC, PSP, DS, GBA"

I see that a lot and I don't understand why when Nintendo is #1 in handhelds, #2 in consoles (and growing), and #1 overall. Could it be that MS and Sony bribe them into putting their systems ahead?

I've seen some sites that say they list them alphabetically but that's not true either as X comes after W. People are probably still stuck in the Nintendo hate mentality.

As for the game... Why isn't this coming to Wii? I've got a number of adventure/point-and-click games on my DS already. Okay, I think I've got 2 but that doesn't negate the point. I'd love to see one on Wii, and the graphics in the trailer look more than easily possible to pull off on Wii if not the GC.

Whoops. It's an action game actually. As shown here.

*rewatches trailer*

What are you talking about Requiem?

Apparently, this game IS also an adventure. An action-adventure, in the true-est sense of the word, according to their website. Does this mean it'll have both action sequences AND detective sequences? AWESOME! Also, bugs + noir  + leggy protagonist = intrigueing.

Oh, also, the game is slated for Holiday 2007. This is obviously really early footage in terms of graphical quality. Not like you should care anyways. Gameplay > Graphics and all that.

You have every reason to be commended for gleaning that judgement out of the constantly spinning DS in the video.

Besides, this game has pedigree. The developers include people who worked on jedi knight academy, sam & max, grim fandango... oh, and Day of the Tentacle. *swoon* I have every reason to be optimistic.

It doesn't look mind blowing or anything but it doesn't look bad.  Who knows this game could be a nice surprise, I've recently played some games that are surprisingly good despite my impression of the game before playing them.

/cry

But it's got bugs! That makes it cool! It's like a detective game... but with bugs!

The gameplay footage just looked like you roam around and blast bugs...........but not in a good way like Prime.
