Geometry Wars: Galaxies coming to Wii & DS

Has no one seen this yet?

Link with pics as proof

Supposedly its being developed by Kuju (Battalion Wars) and will be turned into a full fledged game with multiplayer and control schemes unique to their respective systems.

Looks like Nintendo managed to snag one of the "best" & "exclusive" XBLA games and hopefully improve upon it.
Oh, and it contains the original XBLA game too.

Freakin' sweet, specially if they release it through Nintendo's "XBLA", I hope they anounce it soon enough because I wanna see more indies on the Wii.

On Wii AND DS?

Darn... which one will be the definitive version?

The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

Touch control to navigate the craft? Noooooo! That should've been d-pad movement and touch-aiming!

Hmm, from the video I've seen, it looks like it would be better suited for the pointer.

Also, I didn't think Kuju made Geometry Wars and apparently I'm right - the previous versions were made by Bizarre Creations. I wonder why Kuju's handling it now.. and how it will turn out.

Already done (and works brilliantly) in Wii Play. Can't see why it doesn't get the same controls.

Nope, Kuju are handling the port.

First off: Geometry Wars was a easter egg in PGR2 on the original Xbox. It was developed by one of the programmers from Bizarre and was a minigame.
It then got a sequel, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved - this was done by Bizarre and released on XBLA.

Now its coming to the Wii and DS - I'm definitely interested in this after I played the XBLA demo.

MEGA BUMP!

By the way, this game is wicked awesome.
I downloaded and played Retro Evolved on my DS, freaking sweet, I'm thinking of getting the DS version too.
