I think this is absolute genius.  If it's properly fleshed to to really make whatever you want I would pick it up in a heart beat.  You could even use it to create something before making it for real. A gonintendo user suggested that this be a downloadable VC game and I totally agree.  This is the perfect type of game to sell via VC for like 1000 points or so.

That's a pretty interesting idea that could be utilized for a lot of different games. Imagine in the MySims game if you could import not only from this carpentry game, but you could even see your sims eating dishes you prepared in Cooking Mama!

I don't think there's ever been that kind of thing done. Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know it's only been done in sequels, like Golden Sun, and Madden. Maybe it's too pointless? LoL I still think it would still be pretty interesting.
