GBA trade in deals

Does anyone know what most EB's are doing?  I want to get a GBAsp, and want to save a little money by trading in my GBA i have now (since I have no need for 2 gameboys, one of which is superior).  Does it matter if have the box or whether the screen is suffering from a little wear and tear (got it when it first launched)?

I don't mean to sound rude but don't you think it would be best to actually ask EB if they have any deals. I had heard though that there was a store that was offering a deal that if you gave them your GBA they would take around $40 off the SP. I don't remember if that was at EB or another store though. As far as the box I don't think they care about it.

They WERE selling it for $40 less with a trade in. But my gamestop said that they are no longer doing that deal. Only if you did it a while back do you get one for that price.

EB will probably have some deal but it will probably be something crappy like this: Trade in a GBA with 20 GBA games and 10 X-Box games to get a SP for $70. Small Print- GBA must be pink and all games must be brand new and made by Nintendo.

EB is having the trade in deal for $40 off, but i went to reserve my SP last night, they werent taking anymore, CRAP!
But they said to call back early next week, and they have the SP there (just to hold, its just a model, life-size though), I never noticed how frickin small it is!

That's weird because my brother said it was large. When he said that all I could think is, "What the hell". I think maybe he's just pissed that they came out with a new one with a light less than a year after he bought his daughter a GBA.

Anyway if EB is doing that $40 off trade in deal I'll definitely be getting a SP. That means I'll only be paying $60 for it. I honestly don't care about keeping my GBA and have actually been wanting to get a new one since before the SP was announced.

For those of you concerned about the small size of the SP I think this would be a definite solution.
