Beyond Good & Evil is definately worth picking up if you've never played it.
A very Zelda-like game but unique & memorable in its own ways.
Waiting for Michael Ancel to get to work on the sequel.....

Yes, the Wii can be used to play 480p GameCube games (from what I've heard). You will still have to manually tell the games to do so, however (normally by holding the B button at start).
Thanks for listening.

Not all games support 480p but those that do should work normally.

You have to see the "what games should I get" thread in its "historical" context though, the GC had a lack of games so many a game got overrated by the community and may not be worth buying nowadays.

There's the obvious candidates like Metroid and Zelda (including Four Swords Adventures), Viewtiful Joe (first one's better than the second) and of course the various Mario games (mostly the sports games and such but Paper Mario deserves a special mention) which will probably see superior sequels on the Wii but may be worth buying before then, too. Tales of Symphonia is a great game and worth getting if you see it.

Personal favourites include P.N.03, Gotcha Force and the Lost Kingdoms games but I wouldn't recommend buying these games sight unseen, they may not be your cup of tea. In my oppinion Skies of Arcadia and Ikaruga are overrated and not as good as other games in their genres, they stood out because the GC lacked in both.

F-Zero GX. You must buy this game at any cost. Same goes for Pikmin 2. And Smash Bros Melee & Mario Sunshine if you don't already have them.

Personally Eternal Darkness is one of those games that got overrated imo.  It was a late N64 game pushed back to be a GCN game, and later into the GCN's life it doesn't hold up as well.

Oh and I'm gonna recommend Gladius to all Advance Wars, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Fire Emblem fans.  Chibi Robo and Battalion Wars are some okay ones too.

Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I don't think anyone mentioned metroid prime. It's a really great game and if you run it in 480p it's one of the purdyest GCN games.  I didn't ever play MP: Echoes so i'm not sure how good that one is. I also really enjoyed Sphynx for GCN. It's kinda like Zelda. Not quite as fun or epic but definately an awesome platform action game.  Star Wars Rogue Squadron and the sequel are really good too.

It was a disk that had a demo for MP2 on it and it had some Metroid History and information. You could've gotten it through the My Nintendo bonus system or in the MP2 box (not sure where this version was sold, I think it was packaged with the GC). It is a pretty bland offering with nothing of any real interest on it. Would've been cool if Nintendo included Super Metroid on it.
