Where have you seen the DS?
« on: January 07, 2007, 03:20:55 AM »
I remember we had a thread like this on the Wii board, but I've seen the DS on TV some and thought we should have a similar topic here.

Basically, if you see product placement of the DS on a TV show, mention it here.

It's quite common to see Dr. House playing a DS (even GBASP or PSP on occasion) on the FOX show House MD.
And, today, I was watching a TiVo'd episode of King of Queens and Doug was playing an... odd version of Nintendogs on his DS.  He said he was "training his virutal puppy" and wacked it with a newspaper.
Just some random guy on the internet who has a different opinion of games than you.

I just saw the DS Lite on the news tonight, although the report had nothing to do with video games but the kid in it was playing with her DSL.

Really? I've only ever seen him play the PSP.

From page 78 of Empire by Orson Scott Card (you know, the guy who wrote Ender's Game. He also wrote jokes for the Monkey Island games, back in the day):

"That was Dad," she said. "He's fine. But he asked us to do something. We're getting in the van and we're driving to Aunt Margaret's. I need you two older boys to pretend we've been planning this trip for a long time, and the only thing different is that Dad will be coming along later .... [Pack] three days worth of clothes, plus Sunday clothes, plus swimming trunks, plus a couple of books and maybe DVDs and the PSP and the Gameboy Nintendo thing - the DS."
