I'm sorry about the orginal post. I had just spent 5 hours getting my butt handed to me by the computer on Silvia Cannon, so I was venting which I sould of done elsewhere. I really do like the game, its just agravating as heck and a lot of it is things that could of been cured.

The gold is really solid, the graphic are good but it nothing great, especially for some of the loading it does.

The difficulty ramps up at a nice level, though I think they souldn't of went with a "reactive" AI because it goes from being what it is programmed to do normal to never making a bad shot, then it becomes Corkey the wonder kid. This agravates me.

Then when you quit out of a game because the computer just did a hole in one is over 1k worth a Pang in front of which you can never make up, especially if you have the tendancy of just beating the computer by one game or by Pang the first time you beat it. Then you are faced first with going to the main menu and not the Pangya Feista menu like it says, the loading for the character information, the loading for the little story line, the loading for the first hole which take about a minute, which feels like longer. Also there are times when the computer player pauses and the graphics bog down noticably.

I have noticed it a few times but on Silvia Cannon the third hole I believe the camera instead of watching your shot because there are two drop offs and the forest OB goes behind the trees so you don't know what you are doing wrong. (I'm just going to be learning this but there is a way to cut away all map based objects to you can see which would of been nice.)

I have been playing this game for about 60 hours now so I don't hate it. It just that there are agravations that could of been removed. I like the customization though it can be touchy when you return to use the player because it handles differently. (The white Pangya target gets smaller meaning you tend to slice or hook more frequently as you raise your strength, adding controll and accuracy help aleavate some of this but being able to up this is small in comparision with being able to play with the strength of the character.)

I can say one thing the game excells at is the complete golfing experience. (Including why some player break thousands of dollars of clubs every now and then, because I sometimes feel the urge to hurt something with my controller.)
Stupidity is lost on my. Then again I'm almost always lost.

I have to totally dis-agree with you, I find that Super Swing Golf is one of the Best games on the Wii right now.

1. The loading times are not that bad, It takes only about 6sec (10 at most) to load a level. The load times are no different then that of Mario Golf or Hot shot Golf.
The character load times in the locker room and store are a bit long, but you have to keep in mind its not just displaying the default look, its building your chracter from all the parts you want.
Also its not like the Wii is worst then the PC version, These load times are pretty much the same as the PC. I feel your are making a big deal out of nothing here. You want to see bad load times pick up a PSP or play Sonic Next Gen or Turok Evolution.

You are also over reacting about the AI taking to long, what do you want? to have it just pop on and shot and not think about it at all? If you have a problem with the AI thinking and mapping out its move, then damn, you should go and get some friends and then bitch at them for taking so long to plan out their shot. Its a Golf sim its designed to giving you the experience of playing golf with others. It would be extremely retarded if the AI just popped on and took its shot with in 2 secs.

2. I have been playing this game non-stop since its release and I have only seen the AI get 1 hole in one. And I have putted from the rough and picked up an Engel and the AI never whet poor sport on me and made me regret doing it. Maybe you just really stink at the game and you feel like blaming the AI for that.

3. Welcome to the Real world of Golf, there are to guidelines.

4. I don't see how your having problems with customize your character, unless your adding items that are adding points to one area but dropping everything else. Maybe your are over powering a area and not leveling them up evenly. The only time I had to take time relearning a character is when I got Kooh's little Devil girl outfit and it boosted her Power way up but dropped everything else WAY down.

Man its really sounding like the only reason you are complaining is because this game isn't a hold your hand and make you feel good about yourself. Maybe you should put it away until they make Lazy Town Golf. Seriously your complaints about this game are all human error, nick picking  and making small problems out to be as if the game is hugely flawed.

Yes this game is harder then Mario Golf, You shouldn't be going in thinking you can beat this game and unlock everything as easy as you were with Mario Golf. Tecmo is not known for making easy games, They like to get the gamer really into the game and to make it hard for them the longer they play. The Story mode was designed to feel like you were playing Online. This game was designed with the PangYa fans in mind. If your having a hard time now then maybe you should give it up cause its only going to get harder when new levels are unlocked and new opponents show up.

Sorry if I ripped into you to much, but I have officially gotten fedup with all the b!tching about this game from people who say its to hard for them and where pretty much just looking for a game that was equal to Mario Golf on the easies course.

Yeah, I thought it was a pretty good game as well.

I'm not a huge fan of golf games, but this one was definitely well done.

I have witnessed this happening, I thought it was very funny in fact.  I knew that it wasn't an accident after the computer did it again and again until it was forced to give up the round.

I'll reserve judgement until I actually play the game. I have a mission to beat Zelda before I buy or rent anymore games.  I'm 40 hours in and just about to get to the sky temple.  I'm really pumped for SSG though. I'll probably rent it as I think Tiger Woods 2k8 will be the golf game to own next year.

You see! THIS is what we need more of on the internet! People complaining about bad video game purchases they made. I mean WOW. What a novel concept.

At any rate I'd just like to make it clear that I refuse to play any golf game that doesn't have the word "Mario" in the title somewhere.

And the quality of your average third party game is why I cry MYSELF to sleep at night.

Seriously though I buy plenty of third party titles. I just don't like sports games unless they've been Nintendo-ized. I can't stand them otherwise most times.

Well I just changed my orginal post because I was venting which is a bad habit of mine. I like the game it just got to me that day. The quality is fine for a first gen title, it just there are some things that could of been done to make it less agravating for people like me.

It's not like Super Swing Golf is taxing Wii hardware. I've seen the game and it could be done on Gamecube so it begs to reason, on more powerful hardware, that the game should have better load times than Mario Golf, a mid previous gen game.

I guess my problem is with load times in general. In most cases, they're nothing like they were early-PS1 (I'll have to take your word on PSP loading since I don't have one). However, I feel rhat they shouldn't be noticable enough to be a nuisance, especially in games that do not particularly push hardware. Despite my annoyance with load times, I can forgive a game like Gears of War for having load times because it looks Oh-My-God. Something like Super Swing Golf is less acceptable. Ten seconds ever for a golf game. Come on....

To give you an example of PSP load times: I was at a Target store last November and they had a PSP on display and I was bored so I decided to go over and give it a go since I had little hands-on experience with the system. So I turned it on and got the game going and it started up the load screen.

Anwyway, long story short, I plan on going back Friday to see if it's finished yet.

rancid  that is the very purpose of the internet. People complain so that others dont make the same mistake. What other purpose is there? Beofre the internet people were forced to chance it or rely on video games magazines, not the most unbaised source. Games makers loved it im sure. they got to feed crap to unsuspecting consumers, with cool looking packaging. I suspect the advent of the internet has affected video game sales. It hurt some many and it undoubtibly helps others(ahem halo).

The only thing REALLY missing from SSG is online play, as the game was initially designed from the ground up as a MMO golf game.

Sure, it has lots of extras, but playing in online tournaments is what really gave the game its edge.

I hate the little power bar at the bottom.  I wish they make up there mind if Wind was going to effect you or not.  I don't get how I can shot for 5 more yards on a put and just not go into the whole by .1 and .2 yards, happens to me all the stinking time which results in a Draw which is why I haven't been able to beat Uncle Bob yet in the story mode...

Besides those things I enjoy the game.  Also Button mode is useless if you want Pang.

Finally got pass Uncle Bob.  Game is better when you have more Pang at your disposal.  My newest complaint is that I was bout to win against Kooh.  We were both going to make are puts for Birdie.  She was slightly farther then me so she went first.  She made it and the game declared her the winner of the set of matches and didn't give me a shot to do my putt for birdie.  She won by 5 pang.  I would have beaten her if I made that put because the Birdies where worth 36.  Things like that makes me frustrated with this game.  Now I'll have to do the whole 9 holes over again.
