Topic: wiiconnect24 help

Ok, so I recently got an offician Nintendo wi-fi USB thingy and I'm able to now go on the internet with my wii and my DS, just one problem...

On the computer there's that thing where it tells you who's connected to the internet and everything but when my wii's on standby mode it doesn't say that it's connected, but when I do things like the internet channel and whatnot I've got a 3 bar connection. This happen with anyone else? Is the Wii still connected to the internet even thoe it says no one is connected? If lets say I kept wiiconnect24 on but I made it so it doesn't go into standby mode, will I still be able to get messeges from my firends without going into standby mode?

Help would greatly be apreciated.

P.S. I know there's a nintendo Wi-fi trend but after seeing how empty it was I figured I'd get a quicker responce if I put it here.

It doesnt stay online constantly.  I had the same fear because i use that official dongle as well.  If you watch it you will see that it connects every 5 or 10 mins or so to see if there is anything new.   So all is working fine.
