Topic: No online play in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl in the US???

Keep in mind that nothing has been confirmed or denied, but Go Nintendo has looked over the facts and they point out that no mention has been made of the game's online mode.

I doubt Nintendo would be THAT stupid to axe the online aspect of the game in one of their biggest games yet (it is also very vital when the Wii goes online as well). But at the same time, Nintendo can be that stupid as well.

Looks like we have to wait and see...

It's like Mario Kart DS, Clubhouse Games, Metroid Prime Hunters, Animal Crossing, Mario vs. DK 2 and StarFox Command never happened...

I know, hence why I said Nintendo wouldn't be THAT stupid to axe the one aspect of the game that makes it stand out from the rest of the Pokemon games. The game is also vital when the Wii goes online when Battle Revolution is released.

But its true that Nintendo has made no mention of the online play, which wakes the paranoid side in me. I really want the game for the online play. If Nintendo deletes the feature, it will be just another Pokemon game with lost potential.

Someone needs to e-mail Nintendo and ask what the deal is...

There was some confusion among staff when we read this press release too.  I really don't get it as not only is the game online, but the features are quite extensive.  Could this be silly marketing where NOA thinks no one knows about the online features yet and they plan on making a "ONLINE FEATURES REVEALED FOR NEW POKEMON GAMES" press release?  I'm not sure.  It's very strange.
