Just now, I saw the US commercial for Rayman Raving Rabbids on Nick at Nite. The commercial uses the same bunny animation seen on the trailers and scientific facts ads. But here's the interesting thing, at one point they show Rayman for like 3 seconds, then he is crushed by a sofa, then the bunnies take over the commercial and it shows them playing the mini games.
This made me realize something...Ubisoft has created characters that are so funny, so hilarious and so enduring that they were able to overshadow their own official mascot. I mean, the game may be called "Rayman raving rabbids", but the advertising focuses on the bunnies and a great deal of the games feature the bunnies only.
Isn't it funny how things work sometimes?
