Snow Day
« on: December 01, 2006, 01:25:53 AM »
There will be up to a foot of snow outside my door within the next few hours.  I've given myself the day off.

I have nothing to do for the next fifteen hours except play Zelda.  Yea!

I might have seen this coming if the Forecast Channel was working.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

The huge storm out west is making its way east and is suppose to hit us, but I don't think we are going to get any snow, unfortunately.  I want at least one good snowfall this winter.  (even though it's not winter yet until later this month)

It might be -41 celsius but you don't feel the cold as much because where he lives the air is very dry during the winter.
I know that because a relative of mine used to live there, when he moved to Toronto he actually said that even though it was only -20 celsius (with or without winchill) in Toronto that it felt colder than in Alberta.
And by my own experience, when I lived in Portugal it could be +10 to +15 degrees celsius in the winter, but the humidity was high, and I would be rattling all over the body.

Btw, it started snowing today here in Toronto afetr a couple of days of boring rain.
