Not sure I would use Gfaqs as an example, but I have a feeling the game is going to do decent in NA.

Yeah, especially since NMH is a HUGE success all over the world...

*rolls eyes

Say what you want, but if NMH was to fail, I'm sure Suda would want it to do it all on its own, not because K7 left a sour funk in everyones mouth.

I was being sarcastic. I do find the excuse silly because most of Suda's games aren't best sellers, so not linking NMH to K7 because it was a flop is funny to say the least.

I think it justs adds a new "downed enemy" animation attack...

Yeah I noticed it when I got the Tsubaki Mk-II. Its a shame they don't spell it out for you though, like saying "added to your finishing moves list" or something...

Regarding Travis and K7, didn't Suda 51 say at one point that NMH had nothing to do with K7?

Suda did an interview in Spain recently saying that he reckoned the relation the same way how the same actor or name stars in a different movie. The interview was linked at Gonintendo a few days back, so look for it if you're really interested. if you think about the Lovikov balls, they seem to relate indirectly to K7. Memory of the child allows you to dash, and who was a child was fast in K7? Hmmm...

Speaking of NMH's sales, according to VGchartz the game sold 39,305 copies in its first week of release, placing it at number 15.

Not bad, not bad at all! Its already doing better than the JP version, and the strong word of mouth should help it along.

Kind of like how the strong word of mouth got people to buy Zack and Wiki.

The bit of sarcasm would've worked if it wasn't for the fact that even YOU said that Z&W was doing better than expected :p .

Ok, so I thought that NMH was out here in Kanadia on the 1st day of February. I went today, after work, to see if I could get it and lo and behold the clerk tells me it's out on February 8, next Friday. So I pre-ordered it, just in case they don't get enough copies, and from what he told me he said that there were plenty of pre-orders for NMH and I said "cool, Suda deserves it". Instead I got "swimming with sie fishies" and the "i'm holding the universe in my hand and there's this chick behind me with big boobs" game.

Supposedly it's really good only if you're a fan of the series...But I'm a huge fan of the series and I think I'll hold out for the sequel...

If you're a fan of the series, or not, you can hold yourself for the sequel. I got it because I think it offers more than the usual anime based game, they usually are either just fighters or adventure (really rare) based, this game offers both genres so I'm happy with my purchase. Besides, the prospect of using Gear 3rd is quite exhilarating to me.
I've only put one hour into it anyway, but there are a fair good enough reviews on the interwebs that might help you.

Beat the game and WTF. As a sucker for story, no matter how ridiculous, what in the... To recap, Jeane was 'abused' by daddy, and proceeded to kill them both Is there a Youtube video or something that shows this in slow motion?.

Travis goes to the bar in a drunken stupor, vowing revenge. He blocks out/makes up a memory of just going to the bar after having no money to buy games. Christie, hanging out listens in, sees this scrub and decides to help him out...for a fee.

In one of her escapades away from Henry, she sets up the the tourney, as to train Travis for the final showdown. My guess that some of the entrance fee covered the cost to get these loony characters to Santa Destroy, while collecting a fat 'commission.'

Henry gets wind of things during the rank 5 match, and decides to have some fun with Travis. But in the end, Travis goes on, gets his vengeance, but no nookie to show for it. Or did he? He got to first base at the end of the rank 4 fight, but the rest is unclear.. Did I miss something?

Either that, or it was the twisted imagination of Christie's child looking at the picture. I'd rather hope not...

I'd like to the sequel starring Shinobu or Henry. That's as far as I'm willing to guess...

Soooo I was finally able to play the game last night and it seems pretty awesome: I played through the first level/tutorial and it's a really fun game.

What you've played was a "really fun first level".  Your choice of words will surely change to more extreme verbage after you've played through the game.

I've just gotten thorough to rank 7. This game is awesome, the overworld is rather weak though.  But anyway I'm pretty sure the guide chick is Mrs. Rank Number 1 herself.  But that is just guess.

Yes, the overworld is lackluster, indeed.  I was surprised to see a KMFDM reference for the name of one of the stores, however.

Apparently there is not more than one profile for game saves. My cousin wanted to play this last night so I copied my save file to an SD card then created a fresh one for him. Now, if I want to go back to my save file, can both files exist on either the wii flash or the SD card, or do I need a second SD card to move things around?

Either you need another SD card or a computer with a card reader so you can temporarily store the save from your first SD card.
