Is there anyone alive who likes DK Jr. Math?  That game existed solely to trick parents into thinking the NES was educational.  No one actually wanted it or liked it.  It was the Trojan Horse to sneak Super Mario Bros. into your house.  The game could have just been an empty plastic case and no one would have noticed.  Hell Nintendo could have made a fortune just selling the sticker for it for kids to put over the sticker for their good games.  "No Mom I'm not playing Mega Man 2.  It's DK Jr. Math.  See?"

Did Oregon Trail ever come out on the NES? If so, I'd buy that.

QFT!

As for Rot3K4WoF, I ain't getting it, after watching the short clip on IGN I noticed that the game is too much of a management type of game which I ain't into these days.

Although, Ogre Battle (SNES) would be cool if they released it too, "LIBERATION".

Hurrah! I want ROT3K... I've always been pwned by those games as a kid and now that I'm older I'm gonna have another go and see if I can reclaim a little dignity!

... also, now I know how to use gamefaqs ...

Edit: OOH! I just started wondering! You guys think we could eventually get those no name tecmo (or was it taito?) SNES RPGs? Like that Secret of the Stars game? Or how about other SNES RPGs??? Breath of Fire or Lufia!!! OOH! OOH!

Don't want that version.  It doesn't have the saves fixed like the manual states they are suppose to be in the original manual, from the last castle you beat.  I want the VC version specifically because I can state save it at an area and come back.

Considering the travails of reaching some of the castles in Zelda II, why would you even want to start at the last one you beat?  If that was ever an intended feature, I'd say they took it out to improve the game.

HELL YEAH!!!

It seems as if Hudson is releasing Dragon's Curse as the next Turbo/PCE game to hit the VC next Monday on April 2!

Wonderful Wonderful game! THIS is what the Virtual Console is all about. I really want to see this game reach a wider audience than the Master System/Turbografx's general unpopularity held it back from. I firmly believe that had this game been released on the NES it would be remembered as a classic game up there with MegaMan2, Castlevania etc.

It's sort of a cross between Super Mario Bros., Zelda and Metroid.

There aren't any past Death Mountain.  Go to vgmaps and take a look.  The only palace that's a decent starting point for your next destination is the next to last one.  You can get to Nabooru from the start in just a couple of minutes, with two enemy encounters at the most.  It takes longer to hike back on the ocean from the Sea Palace, unless my memory is wrong and you don't walk really slowly on the water like you do on swamps.

Yeah, also you'd have to watch your dungeon order because you can't enter a beaten temple again so if you beat the better starting positions first you'd get some awkward starts.

Though I wish they had made the respawn rule "from the last location you entered". Sure, it would've made lives a lot less valuable but then again death isn't very punishing in most other Zeldas, either.

Remember folks, that a Wii with Dragon's Curse downloaded onto it is a chick magnet. So, if you're looking to land a woman download it when it goes up.

Nintendo's slow with updating their press site today, so the following VC news comes from Kotaku...

1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (NES, 1 player, 600 Wii Points)
2. Star Fox 64 (N64, 1-4 players, 1,000 Wii Points)
3. Dragon's Curse (TurboGrafx16, 1 player, 600 Wii Points)

NOTE: TMNT for the NES is 600 points (instead of the usual 500)

Why is TMNT 600? I'm guessing it's Konami's choice, not Nintendo's. Seems like a really unfair money grab to me.
