Not good, from what I hear.  However, I haven't tried it myself, so I can't say for sure.

You're probably better off getting the TG-16 Bomberman game; it supports up to 5 players.

Surprised you didn't go for Super Castlevania...Although I don't know if you would like it, since this is classic Castlevania and the games you have enjoyed were the Metroidvania ones.

A question to the fans, just how different the classic CV games are from the new, Metroidvania ones?

Well at least the Wii has lots of shmups, even if they are all on the VC.

Downside, all R-Type games are HARD!

Imagine that type of gameplay but structured in seperate levels with only one way to go.  They're of a higher difficulty too since they're based entirely on reflexes and timing with less exploration or thinking.  That and older games are always harder.

R-Type isn't that hard once you know "the dance". I wish we had R-Type 3 available.

CV and Metrovania don't have much in common, CV is completely linear and very slow compared to MV. The physics are unwieldy, the movement very rigid. Obviously there's no stats either, only pickups (and the damage boost pickups don't seem to do a whole lot, I don't think many enemies take less hits with them applied). Like all VC games the manual is very incomplete and the least understood item (roman numerals) isn't described. For reference, the numerals allow you to have two or three special weapons on screen at once and are lost when you switch weapons. So far (first castle stage completed) SCV isn't that hard but dropping into holes is instadeath and can be frustrating because you can't influence your movement after you get hit so you can easily get knocked into a hole. Overall the music is crap in SCV, though. Makes you think it's a Megadrive game.

SCV IV is an awesome game. It's not the same as the modern ones but it's a fantastic action platformer. And the music is AWESOME. Incredibly complex given it was a launch game. Super impressive. Some of the implementation is spotchy, but the composition and midi work is fantastic.

True.  SCIV is an incredible game, and the soundtrack is so good I actually have it in my truck.  Great game.

They seriously need to start releasing more games a week. Although this weeks releases are good IMO.

Games you haven't already rereleased in the past 5 years or GTFO.

Aside from the bonus disc with WW (which goes for $$$ on ebay), how could I acquire OoT?

There was also the Zelda collection GC disc which had Zelda 1, 2, OoT and MM along with a 30 minute WW demo.
