The Real Friend Code List
« on: November 26, 2006, 12:44:04 PM »
Dear people listed below:

UncleBob
Smash Brother
Caliban
Vudu
ShyGuy
CapAmerica
Shecky
Spak-Spang
Crimm
VGRevolution
PartyBear
Strell
Bill
Ceric
Decoyman

I have added your friend code to my Wii. Here is mine: 8378 2076 4957 4786

I will add any other regs who post here and request addition (I have great Miis, so you want to add me). I hope this doesn't seem snooty, I just need some way to sift through all the crap. If I skipped you I probably don't know you (or made an egregious error), but I'm totally willing to get to know you over drinks, your place, tomorrow night?

Anyways, use this thread to communicate about who you've added from the Friend Code List.

Pap, get a Wii. There's no real criteria, other than "regular cool guy" and "not a newbie." Trolls not allowed. I just want this to be a thread for regs to post who they added and who they want to add them back. It's a filter.

I guess that means you're good enough, eh? =) j/k you're awsome i luv you

When I am at home I am too likely to be dooming Hyrule while I waste all my time fishing to actually post who I've added.  I've added a lot of forum regulars from the official Wii number thread, and I'm checking it for new numbers every once in a while.  My number is 3896-5984-8968-1451, so feel free to add me.  If my name stays grey, you might want to PM me.

Also, send me your Mii, and I'll send you mine.  You can probably get it from the parade, too.

Ah, Evan finally gave his Wii #, cool.

All the regulars that posted their Wii # number I have registered them, there are a few that haven't added me yet though ie Spak-Spang, Rick Powers, Crimm, ShaolinKiller, Megabyte, Ceric, BiLdItUp1, Famicom, SixthAngel, matt oz.

Anybody want a Stormtrooper, Screamer, or Iwata mii that I so diligently copied from other places of the interweb?

And I also have my own creations, but they are more ackin to human-insects, I've sent them already to a select few but anyone else that wants aliens in their plaza just tell me or pm.

Will do.

And I understand the predicament: I realized that I already had nearly half of my list filled before it occurred to me that I should only be adding people I know relatively well.

There isn't suitable hair for Mario or Luigi, so it doesn't really work.  I made a kinda sorta passable Link one, but he doesn't fit in, really.  After that, I gave up.

I'm torn. My wii is being shared with other people right now, and that will likely no longer be the case when the first online games come out. It'd be nice if I could wait on swapping friend codes until then, so that no one but me could see all the love letters I'm sure to get. But I'm worried that everyone will fill up their friend rosters by then, and no one will save a slot for me because I'm not a pietriot.

Wandering, I will add whatever number you throw at me - I'll add you twice, three times even.

Drew, Rat, consider yourselves added.

Everyone: send a Mii of yourself! Keeping your address book filled with Miis for each person is awesome. If you don't have my Mii, message me THROUGH THE WII NOT THROUGH E-MAIL THAT'S LAME.

I promise not to send you any love letters before the coast is clear, wandering.  In fact, I'll extend that promise to everyone.  I swear I will send no love letters to anyone through the Wii, ever*.

All people who have user names over ten characters suck (unless it can easily be abbreviated).  This includes (but is not limited to) Lord_die_seis, couchmonkey and ShaolinKilla.

I have a Wii friend etiquette question.  If someone PMs me that they've added me, do I respond in any other way than adding them back?  If a response is required, do I reply to the PM or send a Wii message?  What if I already added them, and I've been waiting to see if they added me, so I can't respond before they see that I've registered them anyway?  Is it ever appropriate to say, "It's about time, UncleBob!  Yours was the first number in the thread, so it was the first in my address book, and it's just been staring at me, cold and grey and lonely, like my soul!"
