So, whats the deal, none of the launch titles have coolio online multiplayer action? Anyone know when we'll see some titles with online functions?
OH snap!

Wii's on-line service will supposively be up this Summer, just in time for Battallion Wars 2.  In the meantime you're restricted to simple updates and downloads through WiiConnect24.

I'd expect a lot more developers jumping on the Wii bandwagon as soon as the Wii's fully on-line.  I'm hoping to see Battlefield 2 announced for Fall 2007.

technically, they're already online DFec 2 in Japan with the release of Pokemon Battle Revolution... but so far it's looking more and more likely that BW2 and Strikers charged will arrive next summer with online.

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

Battlefield 2 for Wii, I'd love to see it but I don't think so.

I wonder how long we will be waiting for Animal Crossing though?  This time they better take my idea of adding in sport like activities.  I think Wii Sports like would fit easily into it.  I remember seeing that volleyball and getting dissapointed back on the GCN that it was to add up to nothing.

Remember also, Nintendo or other companies could always release patches. There's been something on Nintendo.com (luckily I still had my username from about 8 years ago) that lets you update your games with special things only if you've registered your Wii and that game. In the Wii shop channel, there's the option to connect your Wii to your Nintendo.com username, the reason for that is because of this I'd assume.

Lemme give you a quote from Nintendo.com:
Here's the exclusive content for this game:
Sorry, special content areas temporarily unavailable.

That's just something to think about.

FYI: The first online game for Wii will be going live in Japan in just a few weeks: it's Pokemon Battle Collostadium Whatever.  Just so everybody knows that Nintendo is working on this.
That's my opinion, not yours.
Now Playing: The Adventures of Link, Super Street Fighter 4, Dragon Quest IX
