Mii games you'd like to see
« on: November 21, 2006, 03:29:19 PM »
There are so many potential uses for Miis, that it delights me. Any small-time developer could easily make a (relatively) small game using Miis, and sell it through the VC.

Like in that other thread, I would love to see an arena-style Mii FPS, like Unreal Tournament, or Quake 3: Arena. Totally awesome. I also heard another good idea, which is an RPG using Miis, where you could get armor and weapon upgrades, and they'd show on your Mii.

I wonder if Nintendo plans to branch out with the Miis and add new parts and clothing and other stuff like that. That would be really cool.

Dude, that RPG idea ROCKS!

I can't weait for Wii Music, Wii motor sports... *drool*

One idea that did pop into my head once was "Mii Stretching", a VC game to be downloaded to take you through a series of stretches before you play Wii Sports.

Seriously, I'm aching all over. I'd PAY for an expansion to Wii Sports that enforced stretching before playing.

That's a good idea and all, but wouldn't that awkwardly mimmick life?

Whoa...

But what if it became so insanely popular that you could throw a party in your virtual house and communicate with a ton of people by in-game chat?

I think a Mii fighting game would be sweet, were you can custom your Mii fighters with special moves and fight your friends online or in the room

Boxing is ok, but a fighter more like Street Fighter, or Soul Caliber... I know I'm dreaming, but you can stop mii

Shuffleboard

Paintball

That's all I can think of at the moment.

What do you want to bet that you'll be able to play as your Mii in Super Smash Bros. Brawl?

I'm not sure we'll be seeing any Mii use from Nintendo or otherwise in any hardcore gamer genres like FPS, unless a dev takes the Mii data and create some kinda replica with details more in-style with their game (which would be kinda cool). That aside, I want Mii pro wrestling! It wouldn't surprise me if some kinda Animal Crossing clone with Mii's isn't already in the works (besides this one anyways). An RPG with Mii's would be lovely as well.

Darts is like billiards...it's a "sport" that I wonder if it's truly a sport.  Nevertheless, billiards and ping pong (er, table tennis) are both in Wii Play.  Now was that ever confirmed for a North American release?  >_<  EDIT: Oh, supposedly January.  Cool.

While other developers can likely use Miis with their own style, I think they really should.  Ideally, I think only Nintendo themselves should release games that have the Miis look exactly as they do in the Mii Channel.

I read somewhere that Wario ware Smooth moves would use the Miis somehow...

Also, from the Nintendo world trailers I saw some Miis during the Big Brain Academy Wii trailers.

I can imagine a whole line of Wii Sports sequels:
Wii Xtreme Sports, featuring base jumping, rock climbing, sky surfing, etc.
Wii Water Sports, featuring water polo, 100m backstroke, etc.
Wii Team Sports, featuring soccer, basketball, etc.

I'd still really like to see a wacky arena paintball game.  It's Nintendo's ticket to do for FPS games what they did for fighting games with Smash Bros.

WiiHockey.

The game would likely be fairly simplified but you could move with the analog stick and use the remote to control your stick.  When in goal the nunchuk operates your stick hand and the remote is your glove thus allowing a high level of shooting and saving accuracy.

The only problem is what viewpoint gets used that works for all players?  It may have to be an online game in order for each player to have his own ideal view.  The idea needs tweaking.

Yes! The Wii is probably the first console system capable of handling Lemmings in a natural way. I would really love to see something like that (Lemmings with Miis as an option). The fact that Sony systems have received a couple Lemmings games shows that the series is still alive.

Mii GunBound could be another great game, but yeah, considering the effeciency of digital distribution, I'd love to see a bunch of four-player (2 players to a screen) Lemming games.  Mostly since a Lemmings game in which the Lemmings would be replaced by your Mii characters could actually be superb therapy.  Save the people you like, let fall the people you don't so much like, and blow up the ones you hate.

It would be nice to use a Mii as my main character in Animal crossing and similar games.
That's my opinion, not yours.

Miichanic. Not sure what manufacturers would license their cars, but it would be great if there was some kind of tutorial or troubleshooting 'missions.' Then you could send them into Mii parades using float decorations made in the next Animal Crossing.
