Have PS2's hit $99 yet?
When the 360 hits $99 in the pawn shops I will get one. IF that's the best way for me to play Resident Evil 5, Alan Wake, and Beyond Good and Evil 2.
Don't generalize all other months based on Recession November.
What's the deal with this "Xbox arcade" anyway? That means no hard-drive, right? How severe are the restrictions that imposes in practice? They're only 19000 yen (~ $190) brand new, so it's kinda tempting... I don't really know any games I want, but maybe something like RE5...?

Basically you can pretty much use it for game saves because the Arcade game limit is almost 200MB. Basically you can't rent movies, download demoes, download a lot of content, download a lot of Xbox live arcade games, buy xbox originals, install games into the harddrive(a useless optional feature IMO), take advantage of games that use the utility partition to help loading times. So basically practically anything besides playing games.
That...actually isn't too bad. You can still go online then huh?
Do the 5 XBLA Arcade games come preinstalled then? You say the 5 free XBLA games that come with the arcade only take up 200 MBs? If you delete them can you get them back?
If you buy an Arcade, or have bought one in the past, or a Core system, you can get a 20GB HDD for $30 from Microsoft, or a 256MB memory card for free. You can also get a 3rd party WiFi adapter for like $70, which still sucks.
It's called... ummm "added value?" No... "incremental costs?" I'm SURE there's some technical-sounding business term for it. "piggyback purchases?" Hah!
Krispe, get a Game Gear instead.
