Imma buy it as well. I'm not a fat ass, but I could stand to lose a few pounds and trim up this beer belly. But, what I'm really doing is investing in the board so mothaf*ckers like Namco can make games like TimeCrisis.

It's a Nintendo game, so I'll buy it online from an independent retailer, probably a month or two after it comes out.

Well according to Famitsu, Wii Fit sold 254,000 copies in two days.  Famitsu charts also showed that Mario Galaxy sold around 36,000 copies last week which is around the same as it did the week before with 37,000 copies, which is close what it did the week before that when it was over 40,000 copies.  This shows that Mario Galaxy clearly has legs and should continue to keep selling through out the month and into next year as well.

That's great news. "Mario and Sonic" is a rock solid game and it would be sad if it didn't sell simply because it ain't the orgasmic cross over people expected.

Eh, I just copied and pasted from NeoGAF. Guess I should proofread next time. I'm glad to see PS3 dropping (I'll admit it), but wish it went down further. At least Wii got a pretty big bump. Nintendo just about reversed the 30K beating by PS3 last month, in 1 week alone. I don't know what I'm trying to say anymore...it's late.

Does it really matter how well the PS3 is doing? It's already in a huge hole when compared to the Wii (Wii - 4 mil; PS3 - 1.5 mil). Hell, the PS3 should just count there blessings that the 360 isn't taking off.

I think it is a good sign that the percentage of 3rd party  Nintendo system games has gone up from the week before. It's still interesting and strange that so many of the top 30 are by Nintendo itself, whereas on the other system no first party game is on the chart. I think this is the reason why 3rd parties are still somewhat reluctant to support Nintendo platforms.

Japan: 1. Wii Fit (Nintendo), 2. No More Heroes (Marvelous)

Estimates I've heard put it at 10k on the first day, which is amazing if you compare it to Killer7, which sold like, 20k total in Japan.

Well, I guess in that context it sounds good. Obviously, they're going to depend on larger sales in the west.

For comparisons sake:
Quote

Flower, Sun, and Rain: 5.9K first week and disappeared.
Michigan: 15.2K first week and disappeared.
Killer 7 GCN: 4.5K first week and disappeared; didn't reach the 15.2K necessary to make the yearly Top 500.
Killer 7 PS2: 13.7 first week, 28.6K last we saw it in the 2005 yearly Top 500.
Contact: 6.1K first week and last seen at 25.4k in the 2006 MC Top 500.

But I have heard the game has a very positive buzz in Japan and its flaws(framerate) actually work to its favor(Style)

Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!
