Guitar Hero II on Wii?
« on: November 20, 2006, 03:37:00 PM »
Anyone heard any news on the possibility of this excellent game gracing the Wii? If it won't be, I may have to swallow my pride and go buy a used PS2 just for that and Arena Football.

A while back it was announced that the Guitar hero franchise was heading towards all consoles, then it was announced that a port would be headed to the XBOX 360, along with a guitar controller.

A Wii may happen later on. It will be interesting to see how they handle the Wii port.

It be cool if they put that little extra in so that the wii remote mounted to the guitar and the on screen player would replicate how you orient and move your guitar.

It would be better if you actually made a strumming motion with the wiimote.......

I'm not a whore, ok? Really.....really, I'm not.

But, if she slips man....if she slips, I slide!"

They could easily just make a guitar controller that has a place in the neck where you set and connect the Wiimote.

If they do the controller with a hole in the neck for the wiimote, I hope that it is below the fret buttons. I wouldn't want to have to use the wiimote's buttons to play the game. just use the motion sensors to detect guitar orientation

Yeah, that's what I meant.  It would just sit in the neck and stay out of the way.  It could utilize the wireless and tilt functionality of the Wiimote.  Might even bring down the cost of the guitar.
