Surprised no one is talking about the game, considering it was one of the hyped launch games.

What do you guys think of the game? Really good? Awful? Disappointing? Better than Zelda?

I heard from S_B that some of the mini games are fun, while others are really frustrating. Is this true?

I wanted to get this one on day one, but they didn't have it at Wal Mart. Seeing as I already spent more than I should have on my Wii, I'll probably wait a week or two before I look for it.

I could definitely see the games being a "mixed bag", that's my only worry about this one. One of the things that I think is clever about Wario Ware is that the pure tinyness of the games makes it hard to criticize any one of them over the others. Sure you will have favourites and you'll play some and think, "That's just like that other one", but you don't get to play any of them long enough to think, "This is actually pretty badly designed"...which is something I think quite often about the games in Mario Party and Feel the Magic.

The game is fun but some minigames are way too frustrating, like the ones where you have to tilt the board to get the ball to the end of the maze. My favorite mini games have to be the FPS segments (which seem to controll better than Red Steel) which are a blast.

Light gun styled games are going to be perfect for the Wii. Easily the best mini game so far. However I did enjoy the Dancing mini game that plays like Donkey Konga. I think i caught one of the Rabbids doing the Robot!

Just beat it. The ending is sort of lame and I think they took out all the actual story. Like I never saw the fat emperor rabbid.

I was kind of disappointed. There wasn't a whole lot of variety in the mini-games, and the game wasn't really well tuned for multi-player action. Heck, a lot of the minigames didn't even allow for two player at the same time.

I don't think I've seen a racing game EVER require one person go and then the other person go. We've had 2 player racing games since video games came into being!

some games can be very competitive in a multiplayer setting though, but yeah as a single player game it is severly lacking. What happend to the princess leia slave scene Nintendo Power talked about.

Personally, I think the whole thing felt rather rushed. Not unusual for a launch game, and I actually find it to be quite enjoyable, but a few more months to flesh out the main game and fix weird things like the alternating multiplayer races would have been good.

I agree. A few more months to put the actual story in there would have really fleshed out the game. Plus a few escape attempts to play through would have also fleshed it out. Also more variety in the Dancing songs.

I'd much rather forget the minigames, and just play a platformer with intuitive Wii-remote controls. The first game nearly sickens me, with perhaps three or four good modes out of dozens, it was underwhelming, except in character design, to say the least. I'm not picking up the second without great reviews raving about the series rapid turn-around.

God, I hope they fix some elements of Rayman. All the frustrating mini-games need to go. I have a hard time believing that some of them passed any kind of focus testing. It also needs more variety and some kind of multiplayer out of the box.

They need to axe those tilt mini games where you try to get the ball through the maze. I quit the game on the 2nd board, the tilt controls just did not work very well and the game was overly frustrating.

The first game was more of a concept game with some nice visuals, great characters and an amazing sense of humor, so I don't know how they will keep the charm alive and interesting in the second outing.

Well I certainly would prefer to have a platformer, as I'm pretty sick of mini-game games.

Although, if it is going to be another mini-game fest (pretty much guaranteed), I hope at the very least I'm not forced to play through a single player mode before getting to play multiplayer. That was about the stupidest decision I've ever seen.

You know what upsets me the most? I can understand why some of the newer developers are making mini-games because they cheaper and less risky. For Ubisoft, who has reaped the rewards of Wii, to not put another bigger budget Wii title on the table is pathetic in my opinion. We want bigger budget, full blown games, and I think the time to "test" the waters with mini-game collections should be coming to an end.

Yeah, but unfortunately, they've seen that they can make money using humor/rabbid-based party/mini games, so ultimately, since they're rational, sane publishers, they'll keep doing it until they can't make money.

I'm on the fence over whether I want to buy Rabbis 2... it had better be REALLY funny or else I'm gonna overlook it. However, I probably would snap up a Rayman platformer or Red Steel 2 without a second thought. (Okay, I'd think for a second before Red Steel 2... but I'd prob pick it up anyways.)

One thing about Rayman is... Ubi prob wouldn't want to launch him against Mario. Could we see a Rayman platformer in 2008?

Ubi (and many other companies) are probably waiting for Mario Galaxy to be released to see just how the hell a 3D platformer is pulled off on Wii.
