WiiConnect24 Error Code: 110213
« on: November 19, 2006, 02:33:04 PM »
"There is a problem with the WiiConnect24 service. Please try again later."

What? Has anyone else had this problem? I tested the connection, and get a "successful." I already updated the system once, so I know it can connect... it's just with this last update, it always gets stuck. I thought the servers might be totally slammed, and are just denying any new connections or something, but...

So, am I the only one, or are the servers just wonky right now? BTW, I'm on the west coast, in case that could have anything to do with it...

That happened to me once this morning.  I just tried again and it connected just fine.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Hmm... I would be totally happy to go home today, try it, and have it work.

I'll call tomorrow if I can't get it to work tonight.

...mmmYeah, that's a big fat no. My system is officially an online-brick.

Called today. In case anyone out there is having this same problem, just call Nintendo now: 1-800-255-3700. Do it as soon as you can, save yourself the headache, since you won't be able to transfer save data from your old Wii to the new, even via SD card. Apparently, as idiotic as it seems, save games are tied to your Wii, just like VC downloads and the like. So, I'm going to lose about 10 hours of playtime in Zelda, my Miis and my Wii Sports data. Honestly, I'd be really upset if I were losing my SSBB data or something else that takes 100s of hours of playtime. This brings up the issue, what if you upgrade your Wii once a new color is released? Do you lose all of your data? That'd suck. Maybe there'll be a workaround for it by then, but who knows.

If you want to keep your data, you have to ship your system to them for repair. But I'm impatient, and I hadn't played that much anyways, so... Advanced System Replacement method FTW.

The firmware patch that Nintendo released, the one that you get when you first connect (yours failed to install it) is the one that allows you use transfer saves from Wii to SD. Sorry, but ask Nintendo for a CD/DVD that will patch the Wii for you.

I got an error right after I made a wii points purchase but I just turned the system off then back on and it was as if nothing happened, and I went in and bough a VC NES game (which I don't like, but I won't get rid of yet)
