Was this accomplished with the assistance of a player's guide? I have never got all heart pieces in a Zelda game. I just don't feel the need to explore every single nook and cranny to find them. If I had a guide, though, I might go for it...

Thanks for listening.

Why bother playing a Zelda game then? ;_;

EXPLORATION IS BLISS! (Yes, found them without a guide, but some with the help of the Fortune Teller...)

Oh, don't get me wrong. I love exploration in Zelda games. (Wind Waker did make it difficult to orient yourself at times and realize if you had visited that place before or not.) I spent many, many hours just messing around in Ocarina of Time and dropping into underground caves. However, despite all the time I spent playing OoT, I never got all the heart containers.

If there is a Fortune Teller in this game that points you toward heart piece locations then that is cool. That might get me to find them all out.
Thanks for listening.

There totally is.  Makes it really easy to get all the Pieces of Heart.  Not just a vague screenshot, either, they're usually specific enough they might as well just give them to you!  (You can get a bunch between the third and fourth dungeons after you get the ability to warp and transform at will and have the tools necessary for many of them.)

At least the Poe Souls, Golden Bugs, and fish for the journal give you more to find to make up for the easy-to-find Pieces of Heart.

I finally got to read the spoilers from, like, page 2 or 3.    I beat dungeon 3 and I'm almost ready to start 4 with 28 hours under my belt.  I like Telma's cat (Louise?) she reminds me of my own cat.  Poor Jovani, he'll probably go unsaved, just like the Spider family in Ocarina of Time.  Though with my "take it slow" approach, maybe I'll be able to rescue him.

Fishing is cool and Hena is cute, but I probably won't spend a lot of time on it.  I just don't have the patience to play mini-games more than a few times.  I was happy to finally be reunited with Rusl.
That's my opinion, not yours.

Finally beat the game. A question, though, do you have to just hit reset after beating it? Or is there another way out of 'The End'? Anyway, great game although I would still say second to Ocarina of Time (beats A Links Past for me to take #2 though). However, OOT has nostalgia on its side so that might not be a fair contest...

Now onto the spoilers:

I fully agree, as others stated, that Ganondorf felt tacked on. He is easily my favorite video game villain of all time, and he really felt like an after thought to the plot here (even if he was behind Zant's rise to power). It gave the whole thing a kind of episodic feeling instead of the epic one that past games like Ocarina of Time and A Links Past had. I also didn't like how happy Castle Town was with their "Castle" imprisoned and would have loved to see it infested with monsters and what not when Ganondorf finally appeared simply to make it seem like he was a major threat.

I generally really liked the story otherwise, though. Midna ended up being a really great character, one of my favorite from the franchise. Zelda kind of got pushed to the way side, though... hell, her interaction with Link is pretty much non-existent in the game.

Oh yeah, also, Midna NEEDS to be in the next Smash Bros as a playable character.

Agree with Arbok on most of his points.

With regards to the twenty hearts, I am missing three heart pieces, four bugs, and something like ten poes. I beat the game with these stats in 45 hours. I guarantee that finding all the crap that's left will take me less than five extra hours, and I also want to say that aside from revisiting each dungeon once after beating it, I didn't feel like I really went out of my way to find heart pieces. This is much unlike Wind Waker where I beat the game missing four or five hearts (not pieces), or Majora's Mask where I can't even fathom where most of them are.

Ergo, I think it is easier to find the heart pieces in Twilight Princess.

If you wait a 1 minute or 2 the "The End" screen will fade out and the title screen will fade in.

I think it's somewhat easier because the game is till pretty linear.

Woot! I finished the game a week after the launch of the Wii! I got 45 hours into the game. Thats counting give or take 5 hours of screwing around, not messing with story elements. example, fishing and just running around hyrule field mindlessly So I think on average, 40 hours is about the right number to finish the game

I waited five minutes and nothing happend... is it because I hit - ever so often and the "Can't Skip" message kept delaying the fade?

I got to the part where the dominion rod is power up and ready to go.  They then told me to go and move all those statues I found early and couldn't move to continue on... I was like forget this I just got Super Star Soldier and Monkey Ball.  Haven't played for a week or so now and its final so I'll probably not pick it up but I won't be having a 100% finish unfortunately.  I sort of just want to get the game over with now.

WTF?!  Who gives up on a game?  Who gives up on a game that far into it?  Who gives up on a Zelda game that far into it?  Who gives up on a hyped-up-as-one-of-the-best Zelda games that far into it?  Who gives up on a hyped-up-as-one-of-the-best Zelda games that far into it when they're not actually stuck anywhere?  WTF?!

lol.

Finals were coming and Monkey Ball came in the Mail.  I wanted the next dungeon not a romp around the world.  I'll finish it up after finals.  Also at that point my biggest draw in the story is well finished.  I don't have to save Midna from anything or the little lady, why can't I think of her name, and I just got done with the cool western style level.  I just didn't feel drawn to finish it.  I don't really have a grudge with Zant or anything like I did with the protagonist in other games.  He's evil but he's contained and is no longer messing with me.  Midna is a "Day Walker" now. and Zelda is dead, though I never felt attached to her at all. I mean if Zant would go pick on Agitha then he be feeling the pain and I couldn't wait to get to the end to cremate him.  *shrug* Same thing happened in WW.  Got near the end and then it told me I needed to go find all the Triforce pieces in the Sea.  I planned to get back to it but never did.  I'll finish TP up because I want to talk about it with everyone even though I hear the ending stinks.  (Now on the flipside I hear the ending for WW was wonderful and I'm actually going to put in the time to beat it, after I have a job, just to see.)  I guess I just stopped caring.  At the beginning I cared a lot but it just boiled to being linear and now its just "find these mirror pieces" but you need to find X x and x first.  Which really only has an amnesia to put them together.  I mean why couldn't I just ask woman-chicken Ooccoo to begin with.  Though I am interested in seeing where they live.  I've been finding that the end of games now days tend to be really weak so I don't expect much and that is no longer a draw.  In all actuality I don't think I care what happens next because I know that Hyrule is flooded. Though I am looking forward to new spiffy armor and finally meeting a fairy.

Well after reading everything you are expecting, I can say thaaaaat...you will be fairly surprised...Plus, you have some fantastic fights ahead...

In terms of boss hate-ability (made up a new word!), I've never actually felt any harsh feelings for a Zelda boss...The last time I actually felt anger and spite towards a boss was EARTHBOUND...THAT STUPID FAT **** POKEY!

Ok.  I'm stuck now.  I spent the 5 minutes and got myself a cannon.  Now I'm in the silly city and I'm in the first room with Fans and the blue blocks.  There is a place I have to cross with blue blocks and a fan blowing over all of it and I can't find a hook point to just hookshot across.  When I true to run across with the ironboots or the ball and chain (Act like iron boots but are faster) the blocks slips and I'm stuck on that one block slowly falling.  It has to be something easy but I don't know what.

Nvm.  Found the Switch.  It seems that Hookshot is launched with a great velocity then the arrows who knew.

You were looking forward to the next dungeon?

Personally, I really didn't like the City In The Sky or whatever the heck that dungeon you're in now is.  Ooccoos are freaky, I kept redoing one stupid donut-shaped room, there's a lot of backtracking, and the music will drive you insane.

Now, get past that whole dungeon, and you'll encounter some cool bosses.  The eighth boss is way cool, as is the final boss.  The ending doesn't suck too badly, just a little short, but one part did move me nearly to tears, as I mentioned.  If the story fell to a lull for you, it'll pick up soon.  You're close enough to the end, as I said, it'd be a bigger waste of time if you gave up now and your twenty-thirty hours you're probably in already are wasted because you couldn't put in another ten.

Finish it.  Go go go.  Next time you want to bail out of a game as awesome as any Zelda game, come up with a REAL reason.

Okay, final exams is a good reason.  But Monkey Ball isn't a reason.  Sure, Monkey Ball is probably fun.  But it's no Zelda!

Just a quick question.  I haven't finished yet, but I was wondering if there was any reason to replay Twilight Princess after finishing?  I remember in Windwaker you could replay with a camera and take photos of everyone, is there anything like that in this?

I typically play too many games that I will play through a game just once, or the minimum of times needed to unlock/achieve everything, and then that will likely be it.

However, many of the Zelda games have fallen into the rare "played-at-least-twice" category of my gaming playthrough accomplishments.  I've probably played A Link To The Past several times, Link's Awakening a few times, and I played Ocarina Of Time a second time immediately (seriously) after finishing it the first time.  And of course, I played the Master Quest version a few years ago.  Most other games I've finished twice.

Twilight Princess was good, really good, but I'm probably going to hold off on playing it a second time right away.  Too many DS games I want to stay on top of, and I think I'll enjoy Twilight Princess more if I replay it casually later than again so soon.

My brother, who decided to go back to school this year, has been busy with exams and the like, so he wouldn't even look at the screen once when I played Twilight Princess.  But when his exams are done he'll spend part of the Christmas break playing Twilight Princess, and I won't mind rewatching several cool Zelda moments with him then.  I'll probably tell him when a good time to save would be, and then to backup his saves on the SD card and then on the PC, so if I ever get a good video capture device for my PC (one that accepts component, but Pro 666 says those cost like a thousand bucks) I might be able to do something cool with all the cool scenes.    You know, similar to my Eternal Darkness music video.  Fun stuff.

Actually according to the official clock and then adding the lost time from when my original Wii was replaced I have about 65 hours invested into the game so far.
