I still don't like it.  I hardly think Midna would have done something so significant as to break off the connection between the two worlds forever (as far as she knew) just to say "I'm sorry Link, I don't think it'll work out between us." I admit that may have been a part of it, but its hardly the entire reason.

I was halfway hoping the japanese version might explain it a little bit better, but probably not.

If there was any danger to keeping the Mirror intact, they would have discussed it, but they didn't...The sole focus of the conversation about the power of the Mirror was on their being able to see each other again...

Thats what I'm saying!

Alright, if the entire reason that Midna destroyed the mirror was just so she wouldn't have to watch Link get all lovey dovey with someone else, then thats just crappy storytelling.  Considering how well crafted the story was, it doesn't make sense to have a glaring plot hole like that in the epilogue.

Which, as an author, brings one thing to mind...the story isn't over.  I'd consider that incredibly stupid if not for this article I just read here http://www.nintendolife.com/articles/2006/11/06/downloadable_content_for_twilight_princess

How is this crappy story-telling?  Is it that hard to believe that someone in love would take such drastic measures?  It makes perfect sense to me, and in the end it gives a reason why the Twilight Realm doesn't exist in later games in the Zelda chronology...

Link sucks, because he never kills Ganon permanently, and he chose the less than hot Illia instead of the hotter than the sols Midna, screw you Link.

Midna closed the door to her world because she isn't necessarily all good, in fact they hint that she is related to or a reincarnation of ganon(sorta), maybe she'll be the villain in the next game in the series

Where does it hint that she is related to ganon somehow.  I must have missed it.  All I got was that she was an ancestor of the tribe that was banished to the twilight realm because they used their magic power to gain control of the sacred realm.

"the tribe that was banished to the twilight realm because they used their magic power to gain control of the sacred realm. " In other words the Gerados, and she has red hair and is in some royal line. The only other royalty are the Zora.

For a while in the plot line they made it seem as though ganon had already died and been reborn, that was the first time i really took notice of Midna's hair.

also,  Zant was not true king, just  ausurper king, Ganon is undeniably the king of darkness, when he had taken over Hyrule castle he said he was both the king of darkness and light

Interesting theory Perm, but I have some issues. The Twili, as they came to be called, seemed to be of many genders and shapes, much unlike the Gerudo from Ocarina. Zant himself was a male, and he didn't have red hair. Ganon seemed to take over the Twilight, not be a part of it, and was unfamiliar to Zant when he did so. Because of this, Ganon seemed to be of a different race. But I'm interested to see if there's more support for this.

Didn't Midna say something about her people changing once they started living in the twilight realm? Maybe that's the cause for all those differences, and the reason to why she is the only one with red-hair being because she is the closest to the original Gerudo lineage and therefore she is Twilight royalty?

I don't like this theory at all...One thing being the number of male-ish looking Twili...And if there's anyone that is of Gerudo-lineage in this game, it's Telma...

Is there any way to carry more than one bottle of Great Fairy's Tears at a time?

I played through Ordeals last night and finished it using only one fairy. Tips that people have mentioned here definitely do help: Start with 20 hearts, full bombs/arrows. Use the Wolf to dig-up hearts (you usually get 1-3 hearts, but the dig spots only appear every 3-4 levels or so and there is one level that has a silver rupee for 200 instead of hearts). Use the Ball&Chain for Redeads, tiny skeletons and Ice Creatures. Use the boomerang for bats.

The best way to get the Darknuts is to bomb them as mentioned, but you don't need to use arrows. On level 49/last room, the 2 far ones will start walking towards your perch after you aim one bomb arrow at them. Then all 3 will walk in a circle directly below you. If you drop (don't throw, just use "place" near the edge) regular bombs/water bombs right over the lip, every second/third bomb will blow some armor off one of the trio. The thing I got caught with was one blew his entire armour off before the rest, and his lance launch caught me way up on the ledge and blew me into the room. Oops. I found it easier to get rid of them one at a time. If they have any armour on, getting them to whack their weapon into the ground gives you a huge opening to whack at them. Getting them after their armor is off is not too hard using the Z lock-on and A + left/right jump/roll to the back move.

To answer the multiple carrying of Great Fairy's Tears, it is doable since I currently have 2 bottled in my inventory. Get the first one as usual, and I just got the second one from finishing the Cave of Ordeals.

Uh, that was my point...That Telma is the only person in the game that seems remotely Gerudo-esque (facial features, hair style, and personality) and that the tribe itself likely has nothing to do with the Twili...

More proof that Ganondorf has nothing to do with the Twili...During the cutscene before the final battle, Ganondorf says something to the effect of, "Your people have long amused me..."  Keyword: Your...Ganondorf is not related...

Telma actually Reminded me of the Sheikah (I had to look up their name).  To refresh memories, The sheikah are the guardians the royal family in OoT, Impa is one of them (the chick who teaches you Zelda's lullaby).  Telma reminded me of them because of the dots under her eyes (which after finding a pic of Impa, I do notice the dots are different from Impa's silver points, but still strikingly similar in position).

Now that I think of it, it would make sense for for Telma to be related to the Sheika since she does play a protector role in TP, and does work to protect hyrule and the royal family

I agree to Telma seeming to be a shiekah in theory, but i believe that may have been who inhabited that deserted village with the cowboy scene (CLASSIC btw, i loved it)... however i believe that Minda Broke the Mirror for a different reason...

During the entirety of the game you never really get a glimpse of how Wise Minda really is, but i believe that she is, as the true Twilight Princess, Immensly wise.   I think the reason she broke the mirror is because she knew that she loved the light Realm as much as she loved the Twilight, but knew the two could never be the same for the reasons Ganondorf wanted them the same.   So even though she loved that Realm, she knew the wisest thing to do would be to sever that bond between the two.  Hence why she does it with a Tear, to symbolize the pain that she feels in leaving the realm, and Link, behind.

Not sure if you found this, but just for anybody who hasnt.  If you loved the cowboy scene so much, turn into a wolf and talk to that cucco behind the building (where the howling stone is).  Hilarity ensues

Edit:I hadnt noticed the connection between the Sheikah of OoT and the old lady in that town.  Now that I look into it, Zelda's protector in OoT was Impa, and the old lady is Impaz, surely not a coincidence.

I actually think Telma may be a Sheikah, judging from her face tattoos being similar to Impa's, and also on her account of having a vested interest in the well-being of Hyrule, and also because of her express passageway to the castle.

whose to say lineage goes in one direction? Telma could very well be a sheikah, she is definately a Hylian(ears, as fa as i know the sheikah are merely Hylians that were like Ninja/secret service. Impaz is definitely a reference to Impa. I think the Twili are Gerado related, if there are more genders its because: one-gerado women mate with Hylian males two-being banished to the twilight realm changed them. When the Deku tree died in ocarina he mentioned black magic and evil from the gerados, also Ganon mentioning how he thought the race was amuzing, Ganon is no longer of their race, first he was always an outsider(the only male) second he is immortal and doesn't evolve with them, they have changed he has not like that Nine inch nail song, he has broke up with them, as far as he is concerned he'll be content lording birds, orcs, and pig things
