Damn I wish I could go...  UR is so isolated from Rochester.  Ugh, I'll get one eventually.

I happen to know there's a perfectly good, WARM, 24-hour Wal-Mart you could wait inside for the Wii at. Which, coincidentally, will certainly be getting more units than Gamestop.

How much of a crowd do you think TRU in NY is going to get, considering there are less than 100 units?  They'll be turning people away all night.....

Thankfully, down in South Jersey, it's usually warmer by the water than it is hear up north by about 7 degrees, and that makes all the difference .

me thinks I'll be at the Walmart in Turnersville NJ at around 7pm Saturday night...then Best Buy and Circuit City in Mt Laurel the next morning if the walmart trip fails.

Salem, right?

I'll take you up on that. What's the exact address? (I think I know, but not 100%).

Luckily, I recently acquired one of the last PGC T-shirts that I could wear so you'll recognize me.

I'll be buying my accessories/games at Gamestop, but unless the manager is willing to let me get the console itself at 9 PM at closing, I'll pick it up in Salem.

Hell, maybe I'll keep both Wiis. Never know if I may need a 2nd one or someone will buy it off me.

Well, I was actually talking about the one in Somersworth, since that's where you were headed anyway, but the one I'm going to is in Salem, yeah.

Address:
300-344 North Broadway
Salem, NH 03079

So I guess if you're going there, I'll see you there. =D I look like this:

I won't be wearing a suit like that though, obviously. >.> I will probably be wearing a hat like that, so keep an eye out. What time are you gonna show up?

Whoa, you look eerily similar to one of my brother's old friends who moved to Utah...

I called the Somersworth and they WILL be doing a midnight launch. I was under the impression that it needed to be a Wal-Mart Supercenter that stays open 24 hours in order to pick one up at midnight (I never even would have asked, I just assumed the Salem one was a 24 hour supercenter hence why you were going there). If your local mall is Fox Run, how is Salem the closest Wal-Mart to you?

To be honest, I'm still hoping to finagle a Wii out of my GS at 9 PM when they close. I cannot possibly imagine that breaking street date by a whole three hours will have any ramifications. By the time it would be possible to contact a Nintendo rep, it would be impossible to prove.

It used to be but they scaled back its hours.

After I read your post, I figured I'd call and check and they're going to stay open for the Wii launch.

If Fox Run is your local mall, how is Salem the closest Wal-Mart to you? It'd be cool too meet you at Wal-Mart, but Salem is a good 45 minutes to an hour for me both ways.

well perm If you mean am I in Jerome now then answer is no. Still in the great city of Jackpot.

Jerome is the closest Wal-mart to me. Well ok from where I work anyways I think Elko is just as close but I could be wrong. I forget hwo far jerome is from twin. It sorta got further away when they re-did the highway and you gotta go on the loopdeloop thing instead of just turn left.

Ohh...waiting OUTside, good question.

I need to call the Somersworth one tomorrow to see if they're going to let people wait inside or not. If not, I may join you at Salem or depending on how I feel, I might opt to wait until Sunday morning.

I have enough alcohol to override the anticipation and help me sleep if necessary.

Alright, just across the bay! Santa Cruz is a cool town. Last time I was over there, I saw a band of like 12 steel drum players just jamming on a street corner, with a crowd of probably 60 people listening and rocking out. I'm originally from Nebraska, and I'd never seen anything like that before

Anyways, the one I'm thinking of isn't actually in Monterey – it's in Sand City. I just figured more people would recognize Monterey (and that's where I live anyways).

Anyone in Central Oregon (yeah, I know, there are none, but just on the off chance). . . I'll be working the Bend Fred Meyer for a midnight opening. We have 74 Wiis and 48 copies of Twilight Princess.

Sorry "shredder", but I don't think I'm anywhere near any PGC posters. Nope. Nowhere close.

*makes note not to shop for Wii at either the Best Buy or the Toys R Us in Toms River*

I'm going to hit WalMart in Windsor Heights, Des Moines, IA.  I can't get there till probably 8 at the earliest, so if I'm not there early enough, I'm going to the Target or CompUSA in West Des Moines/Clive, IA around 5:00 AM the next morning.

I saw some punches thrown on local news over the PS3 lines at a mall in LA. Apparently the cops wouldn't let them on mall property so they were forced to stand on the edge of the sidewalk, and make a mad dash like a land rush when the store officially opened.  I'm surprised they didn't taser a few people for fun. People who were camped out for several days got shafted, so I guess I would stay away from stores near malls.

A couple of friends and I will be at either the Best Buy, Circuit City, or TRU on Route 10 in NJ.  It doesn't seem like any place around us is having a midnight launch...which really makes me sad.
