To paraphrase this thing I've been reading lately, as the NES picked up steam, consumers ate up as much as Nintendo and its liscencees could produce.  Nintendo was like a way of life in the 80s and early 90s.  This video brings a tear to my eyes!

Captain N is one thing, in its own cheesy way, but this... this is what nightmares are made of. I'm glad I never was exposed to this as a kid, really.
