I STILL haven't figured out what this sign means.  This was from a cruise I was on back in...February I think.  Still don't know what it's trying to telle me.  Maybe you can shed some light!

Maybe if we could see what was below it we could help.  It looks like you're supposed to do something on the left and not do something on the right.

To the right is either a wall or a door to the lounge, and to the left is the ocean

It could mean you're supposed to bowl midgets at a couple and their robot who are trapped inside dry-cleaning bags and if you get four at once it's a strike.

I think the one on the left means this is where you meet your party members in case of emergency. The one on the right is the roman numeral for ten.

Perhaps the X is, like, an overhead view? And the center of the x is where all of those people are running?

Though that leaves the question of what the heck that thing beside the man and the woman is. It looks kind of like a whistle, maybe?

It means that this area below the sign is a meeting point in case of emergency. X marks the spot.

Well, that's what I think. The left symbol definitely stands for "meeting point" (i went on a cruise earlier this year, good times indeed).

I may have it.  It's a meeting place in an emergency.  The scene depicted is a family.  The upper left circle is the father's head.  Next to him is the mother, leaning her head to the side as she holds a baby.  The smaller circle is the baby's head.  The clearly depicted human figures are their son and daughter.  The "robot" is the mother's body, partially covered by her children's outlines.

At least, that's the only way I can look at the sign that makes any sense at all.  The mother's head is far enough off kilter that I had trouble coming up with an explanation for it.  I at first thought that the small circle by the mother's head was the father's hand, as if he had his arm around her and she was leaning on his shoulder to show the familial bond, but that just seems too complicated, and it doesn't make sense that the hand would look like a circle, anyway.

Another possibility is that the mother has been decapitated, and the father is reaching over to hold her head in place while they pose for a picture before the savage natives, who have the family surrounded and likely cut off the woman's head, kill them all.

You all have no appreciation for abstract art.  Instead of looking at what it is, you should see what it feels.  Obviously, this is the rendering of a tortured soul who had a torrid romance with his postal lady when suddenly his dreams of a happy life were smashed the day his love got rabies from a feral chihuahua.  Yes, there's a great sadness presented and it's right there in your faces.  But what do you see?  A family, a robot, and an X?  Bah, such common people you all are.

How do you know which emergency meeting spot your family will be at?  Clearly it's a warning NOT to meet there in case of emergency (hence the X) because if you do, you'll all crash into one giant mishmash that looks like a decapitated woman or  a robot or possibly an abstract interpretation of torrid postal romance ended by a feral chihuahua attack.
