Seems like ATI is being really, really aggressive these days. A lot of stuff that's rather interesting to note, especially his speculation regarding the PS3. He seems pretty confident that he can help to design a console that will not only be just as powerful, but way easier to develop for.

It's also interesting to note that ATI is pursuing contracts for both MS and Nintendo, although it seems most likely that MS will go with Nvidia again for easy backward compatibility.

Pretty apparent ATI's making Nintendo's next graphics chip too.

The end statement about who is better off in the PC chipset market is a bit off. I have seen the ATI refrence board where it is basically a VIA board with a ATI southbridge. Nvidia has already knocked off VIA in the AMD market, so IMO they have a much firmer grasp on the chipset market...

I wouldn't say that. I'm pretty sure Via still has a much larger chipset marketshare than either company. There hasn't been any reports about this however.

ATI does have AMD chipsets with their own Nortbridge etc. but they're meant for the "value segment" more than anything. Not sure how successful they've been.

VIA still has lingering power from the KT400, but in terms of popularity the nforce2 has much more support now from the people that count (board manufacturers)
As for the intel market, the leader is still Intel by a longshot.
