Topic: Think I got screwed buying a DS on ebay..

I guess I just shelled out a hundred fifty bucks for a "Special Miyamoto Edition" DS.. I was under the impression that it was some ultra-rare limited edition given out at E3 '05. It's actually just a skin on a DS. Great. Not even a DS Lite, just a Phat.

The auction gives the impression that it's a rare Miyamoto edition.. I got a DS Phat, an old item I've ahd for two years, and a sticker on it. I thought it was actually a hardware variation (i.e. the casing), but no.

I'll probably end up reselling it, because I'm not intending to get bad feedback. *sigh* this has to stop happening all the time.

Yeah, I don't know what's wrong with me. The listing is like,

"You are bidding on a Rare Limited Edtion Nintendo DS with Shigeru Miyamoto. Only 2 were given out a few years ago at E3. Cannot get anywhere else! This is very Rare! Comes with original box, instructions, stylus, and AC adapter. Complete Nintendo DS system!"

What the hell.. how could I have done this? It's just a damn SKIN.

Oh, and that HAS to be against SOME sort of rule. Like, falsely describing the product. Unless, in fact, Nintendo really did give out 2 DS' with Miyamoto skins on 'em at some past E3...

for an aniversary my gf wanted to buy me the nes edition gba and got conned on ebay. some dude sent her a box with stuffing in it and a letter apologizing for scamming her but that he was doing it to raise money for his daughters liver transplant or something along those lines. luckily she got her money back, and luckily for me, she found a legit one from a legit seller and was able to come thru with an awesome gift. hell she even got wone for herself!

but yeah, dont feel that bad. i lost $250 on a phantom mp3 player that i never recieved. the seller strung me along until it was too late to file any complaints and couldnt get my money back. soon after the account was gone and i went out to buy a new wallet, since the other onehad a HUGE hole in it

I have a sealed, brand new copy of electro plankton US... and like.. 8 spare DS game cases (the size of a cigarette holder, holds either 6 DS games or 3 DS 3 GBA) that come with either 1 or 2 pens... ummmm... I'm at school right now, lol.

Can you link me a picture of what it looks like? I couldn't find the ebay page.

actually, if read carefully, the part that I bolded kinda gave him away, as the DS has been on 3 E3s, but the one that was 2 years ago (the first one) the hardware wasn't even finalized....

just be more careful from now on
