Sorry, I rather not fall for the hype...

I expect at least some launch details, but nothing more than that.

Sorry if I am very skeptic, but even when Nintendo does show some impressive stuff, they also tend to overhype minor stuff. I mean, their pre-E3 conference was good but it was NOTHING like the hype it built.

So I am playing it safe with these announcements.

Wii fans, this is going to be a huge month for you. I think the September 14 event β€” now just two weeks away β€” will be bigger than E3 for Wii lovers, and the coverage/news isn’t likely to stop flowing after that. If we’ve been in something of a drought, rest assured that the storm is coming.

Sonic and the Not-So-Secret Rings

They already let the cat out of the bag, how could they be secret if we already know they are secret? :P

they should announce customizable wii's like that laptop commercial they have, i want to make mine all black with the new TOOL logo fused with and old TOOL logo branching into a tree like the one in the gone with the wind, with the roots going into a mass grave filled with skeletons, also in black so that no one can see it, but i know its there.
Silly monkeys; give them thumbs they make a club and beat their brother down. How they survive so misguided is a mystery. Repugnant is a creature who would squander the ability to lift an a eye to heaven conscious of his fleeting time here.

This is what at least expect at the big event:
- Launch details (along with price and date). If they don't say anything here I will be confused as hell...
- New footage of already announced games
- Some new game announcements

I don't expect anything else.

Ok I think they will do the following:

-Release Date and Price (along with what is bundled)
-Almost finished builds of Red Steel, Mario Galaxy, BWii and Mario Strikers
-Reveal the last "secret"
-More information, perhaps all the information on VC and what games will be available

Why do I think they will release so much here in the US? Because I think Nintendo thinks Japan is almost a synch to win and it would give Wii great publicity for most of the "megatons" to be dropped in the United States for publicity purposes.

If they don't announce the date/price I'll be shocked. Actually I could see them not doing price. But date for sure.

By the 14th, the will have officially two months at the MOST before the Wii launch. If they don't give the price, then Nintendo is full of idiots.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot the basic details of the Virtual console, like prices and games available at launch. Oh and maybe some details on WiiConnect 24.

I doubt they will reveal one last secret of the console, we pretty much know what the console will have.

And from the wishful thinking department, maybe an updated SSB Brawl. trailer revealing some of the new characters, including some third party ones.

I could honestly care less about the price and launch date.
We already know for sure it's going to be released within the next few months and much cheaper than the competition.
So I'm really hoping for new game announcements. Or at the very least new footage of that Disaster game which would practically be a new game announcement since we saw nothing but a promo FMV which everyone forgot about already.

Reggie set up us the bomb!

I like how some people are trying to have a serious discussion.
