well , almost . what i meant , was why would a second card be needed , when there is plenty of memory on your primary card . (yego , its pretty obvious that the 2 towns are different . i wasnt asking what a second town is , or what it does)
at any rate , ive found the answer . reason is so that you can visit towns that your friends have made . if you had more than one town on a single memory card , the game wouldnt know which to load , so you can access your character . this way , you can have your town in slot A , and slot B is used for someone else's town . of course you can make the second town yourself , but assume it does belong to your buddy . the game cannot allow you to have access to a town without the memory card its on because it would cause major sync issues if he ever came back (with both of you having made different changes to teh same town) and you went to his town again .
