I can't find the thread/poast that originally mentions the Wii Japanese horror game with the slimy rubbery dark haired girls.  Famitsu had news scans of it.

Someone claims it's called "Feel".  Sounds like a great Touch Generation game, allowing you to make contact with Sadako's moist pasty lukewarm skin.

Honestly, there has never been a gaming April Fools that I have fallen for.

I fell for Final Fantasy VIII Gaiden.  That was masterfully done in a time when it was rare to see stuff that good as an AFJ.

Well I know Matt has talked about how no one is returning calls there leading one to believe they are shut down. Hopefully this is what really happened with them.

Well their website is still up and their phone system is still active so who knows. If their phone system and site go down in the next few months then that may show they are gone. The silence is abnormal though. Typically you hear confirmation that a studio is shut down but all we have are rumors.

Also note the Turrican games is still on the VC system and one new game by them was added recently as well so some part of them is still active. They may have just lost their building and so they are operating out of someones basement. Their offices could have been foreclosed and they cannot access their stuff or their contact lists. Where are they located? Could someone go look up their place and see if it is boarded up or if a new business is still there?

I'm not that far away, but its about a 35-45 minute drive and $4 bridge toll. I might have another reason to  be out that way in the next coming weeks though, so maybe if that happens I can cruise by and take a few pictures.

I think the Google street image was off a bit. I clicked on the link to another business with the same address and I did see an office building in that shot. Another thing you could do is go in and find suite 300 which is theirs.

Don't feel you have to go too far out of your way to do anything but any effort you put in is appreciated. Boo to tolls

$4? You live in the East Bay right? At least it's better than the Golden Gate toll, since that's $5 even with Fasttrack... :-/

Factor 5 is still Alive & they are working on an unannounced Wii game.

But now there is no need to drive to San Rafael to see the Factor 5 offices since we know that its shutting down

If they are working on a Wii game then perhaps there really is a Kid Icarus Wii? I know there was a theory that Factor was making a showcase demo to present to Nintendo, that would explain how the IGN crew saw it but Nintendo refuses to acknowledge it. It will probably appear at this E3 so we'll see it then.

Well we have E3 in LA this June, GC in Germany this August and TGS in Tokyo this Sept., so we could hear about it at any of those. Nintendo is not gonna blow its whole load at E3.

Factor 5 might want to wait till the show is closer to home to unveil what its been working on.

I really don't know the product history between the two offices.

After doing a little looking around (because I didn't know either), it seems like Fcator 5 GmbH is the parent company who has basically turned all operations over to Factor 5 San Rafael sometime after they opened the US branch.

Now Factor 5 SR ran into financial troubles with Brash and Factor 5 GmbH became active again as a back up plan to get out of all unwanted liabilities and move shop.

That's it. Factor 5 GmbH was likely a one-man show with Achim Moller - right until last December when Factor 5 Inc. ran into financial difficulties. Now the remaining Factor 5 Inc. staff seems to work for Factor 5 GmbH.

In addition, Factor 5 and the Factor 5 logo as well as Denaris, Katakis, MusyX, Thornado and Turrican are no longer trademarks of Factor 5, LLC (or Factor 5 Inc, as they are called more recently). They belong to Factor 5 GmbH now.

So after Factor 5 USA/Inc. had closed down, all operations were taken up by Factor 5 GmbH.

So it would seem that while the San Rafael office is going to close, the employees might not be relocating very far. They could still be working on the unannounced Wii game from a new smaller location now under the the New (old/original?) Factor 5(GmbH).

Eman you beat me to it. Looks to me like some huge fiery energy sword that just sliced up some little woman. For a moment I was ready for a brand new Soul Calibur from the ground up, but all the blood depunks that theory. Maybe its a brand new fighting game.

Looks like a big muscle bound giant, with a viking like head. The graphics will will looks like Marimusa Demon Blade(what ever its called) Appears kinda cartoony to me. I can't wait!
