Wow.  500 Points (the requirement for the Game and Watch Collection) is a whole lot.

According to my friend in Japan:

Quote

30 points can be gotten with most GC software.
20 points can be gotten with most DS/GBA software.
and, The point doubles if it's within on four weeks of the sale.

Youch.  So, unless this gets a real release, I'm never going to get it.

I might as well hang myself in the closet now.

it'll cost you, sure, but if you *have* to have it.

Well, I could sent my Japanese friend $500 to buy 25 copies of Brain Age as well, but I think that goes back to my first statement of not going to get it.

The Famicom Micro "Pad II" faceplace was premium priced in Club Mario as well. Yet it is not as unreasonably priced on eBay as you might put forth.

$50 to $70 will get you one. There is one on eBay right now for $65.

You're right, I mean, i'd be pretty difficult to program for the 2nd screen. So I bet Nintendo will just put a pretty graphic there instead. Better just assume the game is a port job of the GBA games.

Does anybody think we can get our voices heard someway? I'd love to see this release worldwide through the Nintendo rewards program but I have no clue what steps could be taken to make that happen. Anybody with any good ideas, lets hear 'em.

Talk to Nintendo. Call them or write them (electronicly or physcially). They do like to hear what you have to say, whether you want to believe it or not.

However, in the case of NoE they will do the exact opposite of what you want.

55 is actually not that bad Bob... pretty much on par for most good DS imports...

I have a feeling that auction may easily hit 150 though...

If this is an inexpensively-produced game, Nintendo would be stupid not to.  If they think there's enough demand, I bet they will do it.

Assuming the rumours that Mr. G&W were removed from SSB:B turn out to be false, maybe if you play thousands of online matches using him, they'll get the hint.

And that's assuming it doesn't break some kind of privacy laws for Nintendo to track what characters people like to use most to determine which franchises are popular.

The three Game and Watch games play exactly like the originals (Donkey Kong, Oil Panic and Greenhouse).  Balloon Fight pretty much plays exactly like the originals, although with much tighter controls.  I can't wait to play a four player match with it though.
