Awww, wandering its not that Bill is more popular* than you, its just that Mafia is becoming more popular than it was before. really that is all there is to it

It could be up to 5 people per mafia at this point...

I dont like Cube's Assistant part since he has every reason to kill cube and will kill the many townies who follow in unknowly, can you make it a rule that he can't vote for cube ever since he has a 100% chance to back stab Cube on day one.

Quite simply though, Cube wants to die.  It's an odd position he's in - there's no real way for Cube to win (Unless, by some random freak chance he's the only one left standing - which is very unlikely.)  Cube's whole goal is to cause mayhem and mass destruction.  So, if the BA backstabs Cube on Day 1, that's fine... so long as Cube's death kills many, many people.

And since the BA has the same "goal" as Cube (mayhem and mass destruction), when things are said and done, the two of them will simply be working together to get the entire town killed.

But the sole goal of Cube is to take out as many people as possible!  He's not trying to survive! =D

We already have a ton of roles to keep track of as it is.  Besides, Cube could manage to take out 75% of the participants in the first day.

If everyone thinks it's that big of a deal I can change it back to 4, but last game there were 8 mafia members in a game of 21, while this time there are 10 mafia members planned for a game of 30 people...If anything, the mafias have more of a disadvantage this game...

Edit:  UncleBob has suggested that we have three Mafia instead...Would 3 Mafia with 3 people be more palatable?

I support the forming of another mafia if it is led by blathers, otherwise no.

Well I hit some major opposition to a third Mafia on MSN, so I guess we'll stick with the two 5-man teams...I'm closing sign-up tomorrow afternoon, and everyone should have their roles by tomorrow night...

How about you add another cop, but keep their identities secret from one another?  Because if on the off-chance that the cop dies early in the game, the townies are screwed.  Or add a second vigilante.  Or a doctor.

Yeah, there are two cops in Animal Crossing, why not add in Booker, the lazy one who handles the lost and found?

EDIT: Or have Booker be able to make one person a cop if the cop dies, but he has to be careful, less we have a mafia member also be the cop.

Or have Blathers be a second non-affiliated cop. After all, there's got to be lots of records for him to research up on other animals.

Or have Kapp'n be another vigilante.

Or... I'll stop now.

Okay, let's try this:  There are two cops, they don't know each other's identity, and they work every other day...When one of them dies, the other works every day...

Sound good?

I'm not sure that's an advantage the townies need. If the amount of mafia is proportional to the other games, the townies already have a slight advantage, because more players means more days for the townies to wise up to things.

....of course, that's not factoring in cube. But I'm not sure there's any way to factor him in....

And this is exactly why I shouldn't be asking for suggestions...We'll just play with what we have, and if it turns into a landslide in one way or the other than that's what happens!

Not listening to what your players want is always the way to go. I hope you have a greater appreciation of Nintendo now!

(Though I suppose that isn't really possible in this particular case...)
