I haven't read the rules yet, but I'm in.

EDIT:  Okay, I finally read the rules.  Nothing seems broken per se, but there is one very troublesome aspect pertaining to Cube the Suicide Penguin.  I don't like the fact that if he gets voted off, everyone who voted for him dies too.  It's going to really discourage people from voting until he dies.  Hell, for the first couple of days I'd just vote for myself rather than take a wild guess and rick voting for Cube.  It would make a lot more sense to have it so only the last person who votes dies (like the last game).

Also, I'd like to clarify ... unlike the last game, Cube can choose two people to die at any time, not necessarily on the third day, right?  And he dies too, no matter what (he doesn't live if he guesses a mafia member like the last game, right)?  It just doesn't seem like he'd ever want to kill anyone.  Man's natural instinct is self preservation.  Why would he choose to take himself out (and a couple other people) if he thought still had a chance of living another day?

Finally, I don't believe you specified how many mafia henchmen will be on each team.

The purpose of Cube is to get people to actually THINK about who to vote for, not just indiscriminately vote for whoever comes to mind, something that has been a problem in a lot of Mafia games when it comes to bandwagons...The aspect of fear is something I really want to play out in this game...And as I've stated, everyone MUST vote every two days, so they don't really have a choice...

Cube can choose two people at any time during the game, and he will be dead for good, no matter who he kills...Of course, this is only an option that he will be given...I would personally rather see Cube try to get a bunch of people to vote for him...

How many henchmen will be in the final game will be determined when I have the final attendance list...Right now it looks like it could be 4 members per mafia...

I think your Cube strategy is going to backfire on you (much as it did the last game).  People will abstain from voting as much as possible (i.e. vote only every other day rather than every day).  When they do vote they will vote for someone who won't be voted off (i.e. a throw-away vote) so they have less of a chance of dying themselves.

What I think would be interesting way to handle the voting for Cube thinkg would be, is to make it so that everyone that votes for cube dies except the first person that is voting for him(unless it only took one vote to win). This way it will encourage everone to vote but be wary of actually bandwagoning.

edit: This will also give Cube's Assistance a little assistance towards encouraging a vote for Cube and trying to get as mamy people taken out as poossible, so that he can rightfully take his place.

Eh, I don't like that idea due to the fact that the person who wants to start the bandwagon isn't punished...Because there'd be nothing to lose, someone could start an indiscriminate vote/bandwagon and know that he is free from death...

that would be the fun of trying to start a bandwagon and punishing those that join it.
But it is your game, and the rules are fine as you have layed them out, just shooting out suggestions to maybe be used in future versions or what not.

I would like to see a rule that you can't vote for yourself...  That would go a little ways to prevent people from throwing away their vote.
Just some random guy on the internet who has a different opinion of games than you.

I agree with bill here, the first person to vote has to die too, if BnM's rule were put into place people would simply vote for someone who hadn't been voted for yet.

Its gonna be interesting if the cube gets voted out by a landslide, and we end up losing 75% of the people.

I guess so, but it would not be likely considering the cube's assistant knows who cube is.  I could see the assistant starting a bandwagon for the cube, then changing his vote at 11:59.

We can't all be good deducers like you, Bill!

...actually, though, after hearing your line of reasoning, I'm liking this cube idea quite a bit.

I'm glad a few more have people signed up this time, otherwise this could be a really short game.

Im wondering how mint works, is it just that in the case of a tie (such as the one in the last game) then mint gets to decide who dies?

I'm going to be at a weeklong party when the game starts, so I wasn't going to join.  It looks like too much fun though, and hey, we'll have the internet there, so I'm in.  Can't wait.  Cube looks awesome.  Oh yeah, how many people are on each mafia team?  I dont' think that one has gotten an answer just yet..  Other then that, looks great.

the # of Mafia per team will be decided depending on how many people sign up to play.

I have another question because I'm too lazy to count my self...
Q: How many people have signed up so far?

What are the voting rules?  Vote every other day minimum?  Post every 3 days minimum?

Q: How many people have signed up so far?

30 or so.

(By comparison, 20 signed up for my game. But that shouldn't be taken as a sign that Bill is more popular than me. Oh no! If anything, more people are signing up for Bill's game because they feel sorry for him.)

Vote every other day minimum. Not sure how you could vote without posting...
