« on: June 08, 2006, 08:55:28 AM »
Do you guys remember this thread? Well it appears that Tingle is back with his own RPG for DS

And yes, the title of the thread is the name of the game.

Where did you see that it's Wind Waker's Tingle?  I'd say “the mask of legendary [mujiyura] of [zeruda]” sounds like Majora's Mask.  I assume that calling Tingle celibate is a badly translated way of saying that he's unmarried.  Otherwise, this game would be even weirder than it already appears.

Tingle is obviously the stereotype of otaku, celibate might mean the same thing as unmarried in this case.

I heard its about WW tingle somewhere but I cant get the link now, the translation is of the Jeux France thing, and I think they are only mentioning that Tingle was born in MM, not that this game has any relation to it, I guess... as I said, I want to know more!

EDIT:

it was on IGN where they said is WW Tingle http://ds.ign.com/articles/711/711773p1.html

And here I thought my opinion of IGN couldn't get any lower.  Thanks for the link.  I'm not so sure that the IGN article meant that as any more than a way to describe who Tingle is to the uninitiated.  However, I don't recall MM Tingle being greedy, and the screenshots and descriptions so far make it seem like money is a big deal in this game.  I really liked Tingle better when he wasn't some sort of treasure map business tycoon, personally.

Just because he's a treasure map business tycoon doesn't mean he's got any less Kooloo-Limpah!

...These are the magic words that
Tingle created himself.

Don't steal them!
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

I figured out how "yes" and "no" work, and that's about it.  I still did quite a bit...my favourite part was the comic strip where a fly gets stuck in Tingle's booger.

I do think Tingle's art style is better, but by no means is Phantom ugly.

Phantom Hourglass isn't ugly, but if it were, it's "ugliness".

"Uglily" is a word, believe it or not.  But I don't see what Phantom Hourglass is doing "uglily".

I wonder if the Tingle game will be like that...
