Need help from serious gamecube collector's...
« on: June 02, 2006, 09:03:25 AM »
As many of you know I have been collecting for gamecube for a while now and have built quite a library of games. Currently I have 453 games and counting. As of now my total list of games released in the US is 520. I am wondering if anyone else has a list of games released in the US that I can cross check my list with. I just read an article on nintendojo.com that said gamecube has 560+ games. If you can help please pm me. Thanks!

I'd use AllGame.com.  They seem to have a pretty accurate list.  If a game is only released in Japan or Europe it's noted.

Wow dude, 453, that is one massive number. Do you play any of them or just purchase them and leave them untouched? If you have that many on the Cube I can't imagine how many games you own in general. Probably makes my almost 500 games look like nothing.

I'm at 63 right now.  I know that i'm missing a few major ones (Mario Spin-offs, Mario Party, Mario Kart, Mario Sports) but 450 eclipses my entire game collection (roughly 200 methinks)

I actually have a pretty solid list of games for the Cube, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's missing a few.  I added new games as reviews appeared on IGN, but there are definitely a few games I know haven't been reviewed ... I think there was a Puzzle Bobble game, and a Tom and Jerry game that were never reviewed.  Last time I paid close attention my list had around 500 games, but that was a while back, probably around Christmas.

22,500 dollars? That's a crazy amount of money - I thought that the 1000+ pounds I've spent on around 30 GC games was excessive! You don't really realise what an expensive business playing games is until you stop and add it all up.

I put petrol in my car and I expect it to go when I press the accelerator and stop when I press the brake - how the whole process is accomplished is a complete mystery to me! The only thing I know how to tune is a guitar :-)

Just looked at my list, it actually only has 485 games on it.  I forgot that it includes a few games that got cancelled or moved to other consoles - e.g. Kameo, Giftpia, and Roll-o-Rama (remember that one?)

Edit - Ian: Allgame was awesome, my list is at 516 now...I can't believe how many I missed.  What really surprised me is how many of them I knew, but forgot, there were maybe 3 I hadn't heard of before.  Not that I missed anything really important, but I remember Dr. Muto and Black & Bruised being titles I was sort of interested in when they were released...and Universal Studios, how could I miss that?  I mean, it's utter crap, but still, it's a pretty notorious game, and one of the few games released in 2001 (well if you count 20 as "few").
