Well, I couldn't get planetchat to work during the conference and now I'm kind of glad. Don't think I could put up with your guys' bitching.

INCREDIBLE conference. The opening was like something out of a big disney show...left me speechless. Miyamoto is awesome.

Super Mario Galaxies is mind-blowinging great looking. It gave me that warm, fuzzy, magical, experiencing Super Mario 64 for the first time feeling.

The new franchises look good...I'm sure excite truck will be a good racer, and the visuals in 'Diaster' were really good.

Red Steel and Prime both look incredible. This is probably the first time I've wrapped my head around just how well the wiimote will control.

Graphics, overall, look great to me.

I was surprised by how movement was required in the tennis game. Looks fun. Especially the customizable faces bit.

Console always on sounds great, I know Nintendo will have a field day with that.

Marketing-related stuff looked really good.

Kodak theatre looked great...I'm sure that'll play well in news clips.

Zelda's Wiimote functionality looked very good.

Dissapointed that there wasn't a final surprise...I was sure they were going to close with Miyamoto's new IP. I guess they want to keep generating press throughout the year, which fine.

Overall, best e3 conference ever, bar none.+

I couldn't agree more. That was obsolutely breath-taking. I especially liked how that dude came out of nowhere and shot through the Japanese "wall."

Obviously alot of you have missed the scattered comments from the few, so I will repeat it five times. Hopeful that, and the fact that it is all in one post, will help it sink in;

The show HAS NOT started yet.
The show HAS NOT started yet.
The show HAS NOT started yet.
The show HAS NOT started yet.
The show HAS NOT started yet.

They ALWAYS keep a decent amount of stuff secret to spread excitement at the show, keep people coming back to their booths. Dont be suprised if SSM isnt shown until day 1. In fact, its totally possible that it could be one of a few "closed door" games that you KNOW they will have. But beyond all of that; Turn the speakers up louder when they say 27 GAMES TO PLAY ON THE SHOW FLOOR!!! Holy CRAP thats huge!! Maybe I am the worst mathmatician of all time, so you guys help me out here; did any of yousee 27 games shown at this press conference? I dont think I got anywhere close to 27.

Not releasing a price point this soon is a good idea. If Sony was serious about their price but curious as to what Nintendo would do, so they could "suprise" everyone down the line with a cheaper price, now they can't. Now they are left holding their very, very expensive ball. DONT DROP IT SONY! mwahahahahaahaha.

OK, you know what? In World Of Warcraft, I have a paladin. He has a hammer. a BIG hammer. I LIKE big hammers. I like beat em up games. Putting the two together makes me really want to try this game. Mario looked very cool, Metroid looked about the same as far as I could tell, but what had me the MOST interested was that Disaster game. What they showed looked like FMV, which isnt how Nintendo usually operates. Am I the only one here to recognize that the Red Steel demo was showing off some pretty impressive effects? That didnt look like no Gamecube game to me...

And Zelda is looking WAAAY better, IMO.
Do, or do not. There is no try.

Who is they? Cuz Nintendo has been de-emphasizing gfx since last year, and Matt at IGN has been beating the gfx thing like a dead horse to the people that think Nintendo stole Doc Brown's DeLorean, went to the future and got 360/PS3 hardware at a cheap price and in a small footprint.

so are they releasing pricing and launch in post-conference interviews? I'm lost.

too bad about Smash Brothers, but I seriously could not believe that they would have had Smash ready in time for E3; that would have been a little too sweet

The visuals made me say wow, is that good enough?

Seriously, Mario is stunning. Did you see that lava creature?

the wii is so similar to the gamecubes architechure that the development cycle for first party games will be vastly reduced.  I predict that there will be no post launch drought, because in the months following launch SSB and other titles will arrive!!

While Sony's conference contained a ton of unintentional funny, Ninty comes through with a fun hour presentation and managed to showcase way more stuff in a fraction of the time.

Wii controlled Zelda looks extremely fun. I think the speaker in the controller was the final big secret concerning that, and it was well received. I wanna know what was behind that door though now. The new stuff in the trailer didn't look all THAT appealing, but it was different for Nintendo's traditional games, so that's a plus. Red Steel actually felt a little underwhelming to me. The gameplay was a few notches too slow (turning in particular), and some of the animations, especially the ones involving sword fights looked pretty stiff. Not fatal flaws though, it can be fixed. WiiSports seems like a good idea to grab casuals, and as usual looks very fun in practice with friends (unlike Sony's tilting Warhawk demonstration). The guy that won was kinda geeky...it should have been ME!

My greatest disappointment is Zelda being split into two versions based on control schemes. While it proves what they said earlier about no GC games having Wii control capability, it still sucks that I'll have to give the GC version the shaft after waiting SO LONG. Could at least make up for it by giving us the GC edition a couple months early though, I'd like that.... I also really wish they would have went into a little more detail concering online and how that'll all work. That and revealing the shell would have been nice. Just nitpicking there.

The graphics REALLY DO looked like a souped up GameCube though...it's hard to believe until you actually see it in motion. Only the new Mario game looked extremely impressive graphically. Zelda:TP looked better than 90% of what they showed off, so I'm betting it's just those other games are too early to give fair judgment.

Overall I'm pleased with what they had to offer. Moreso than last years E3. The DS stuff looked really awesome, as usual. No price kinda bites, but we all know it won't be costing $600 so I'm not really concerned.
Oops pow suprise!

If they're showing games without the secret, either it's not that important for gameplay (in which case, not big) or not related to gameplay (in which case, not big, at least for me). There might be something about the VC or some such.

All I have to say is wow. Nintendo blew me away. I want that system so badly right now it's not funny. I can't wait to see some in game footage as the conference continues. I am keeping my fingers crossed for some sign of SSB:Wii. Let's not forget the DS either, Diddy Kong Racing, Starfox, Yoshi's Island 2, Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2 and Ouendan.

I'm pleased, but I'm not blown away. Certainly kicked the sh*t out of Sony's conference. I want to know more about Super Mario Galaxies before I get too excited over that one, but it certainly looked like it may be devine. Two versions of Twilight Princess? I was hoping to try both styles... Metroid Prime CORRUPTION officially has the best surname ever, and huzzah for Yoshi's Island 2 and Star Fox DS, but yeah, the conference lacked that one bomb, that one game that made everyone lose control of their bodily functions. Where was Smash Bros? Where was Miyamoto's new IP? Those two things MIA were what kept the conference from being amazing. I'm still psyched as hell.

Overall, I think the presentation went very well.  I think they got their message across without dragging it out too long and boring us to death.

I'm a little disappointed that they didn't talk about the specific release date and price.  And what happened to Super Smash Brothers?  And what about the Virtual Console?

The new IPs were all right.  I'm very interested in 'Disaster'.  Hammer looks rather... dull.

Hopefully we get more info before E3 finishes.

That would be even worse.  By giving them to you at the same time there's not as much of a reason to buy the GameCube version if you're planning on buying a Wii at launch.  If they were staggered by a few months peopld would look upon that as "double-dipping" and Nintendo would take a lot of heat.

Download the trailer on the right for Red Steel.

Red Steel does an awesome job of showcasing what the Wii can do. If not for it, I think the lineup would have been notably weaker.
