funny story about new name: i was telling one of ps2 friends while passing the peace pipe about how the new system is called wii. and he starts laughing a lot, so i'm like damn, i didn't think it was that funny, must be the pipe. then he's like no, remember we used to call weed, weee. lol, then we both just started laughing about it uncontrollably. ahh, where's the wee yo! now i can say it again, although differently. Where's the Wii yo!

hm....were you ever at Randals Island in NY for warped tour? cuz some guy came up to me and my friend while we were watching some band and said "dude....weeeeeeeeeeee.....you got any weeeeeeeeeeeeee" and i knew what he was talking about but he didnt pronounce the d. ever since that incident we've refered to it as "weeee."

Awww, i was beaten in starting this thread, I didn't expect it to pop up this early.

79 hours to go! It's gonna get confusing in here during the event, a page will go by every minute and less than 5% of the posts will be coherent. There shouldn't be a problem finding a live steam of the conference, as both Gamespot and Gametrailers are offering free live streams. Gametrailers also has the conference going from 9:30am to 11:30am, can anyone confirm that it's really two hours? That'd be awesome, but I doubt it since the last few years have never been over an hour.

I'd never encourage anyone under the age of 18 to do anything, unless of course they're hot and 17

I hate all you people who are going to be able to watch the live feed, I don't have the luxury of staying home, or working in an office. oh well, i plan on watching it when i get home, then trying to read a few posts here, when things get bigger than i'm willing to dedicate a lot of time to there are a few posters who i just read their threads only to get the gist of whats been going on. You guys better stay coherent!

Mario - It could be two hours seeing as how Nintendo is going all out. Plus, how long do you think it'll take for that lucky kid to play the Wii? I bet that whole ceremony takes at least 20 minutes.

Kairon - Oxygen high?! WTF? I remember when my international relations teacher whipped out a bong. Then the next day, whipped out a poppy seed plant.

thats crazy dude. my art teacher senior year would take his 'special herbal medication' before school started sometimes and since i had him 2nd period every other day i could tell what kind of state of mind he was in. it was so obvious im sure the entire staff new, and just didnt care.

the best part about it was if my friend and i would bring our guitars in we'd just jam while he "made" the rest of the class do their art projects. that guy was so cool.

I had a science teacher in high school who went to great lengths to explain the nature of addicition, and how pot was better than most other drugs because it wasn't addictive.

When a bong was found, he then went to great lengths to convince us he didn't actually do that stuff, and that the bong was just a novelty gift.

Question. Why do we have a play by play thread if Gamespot is streaming it live and free? I imagine that anywhere people will be which allows them to repeatedly refresh forums for an hour will let them watch a video. ;-)
