Famitsu-ton!
« on: April 24, 2006, 06:27:04 PM »
Famitsu are revealing brand new Nintendo Revolution games in thier next issue, which comes out in about 24 hours (well, the mag comes out to stores on Friday I think but it's always leaked on Wednesday). It's supposed to be a "major" exclusive. Could this possibly mean it's a Nintendo first party game? Something from Capcom? Sega? A full blown NiGHTS Revolution preview? A game that will shake the very foundations of the earth? Who knows!

*sigh* I want to believe we will have more than just titles, but I just don't believe we will see many screenshots.

It has been really cool to finally get Revolution information, but it just seems to trickle and tease instead of satisfy.

Until screens and movies are available I just feel like all us Nintendo and Revolution fans are being Blue Balled until E3.

It's all foreplay, which just makes the climax better.

Also, the E3 conference is only an hour, they can't possibly fit everything in then... just the biggest things.

Mario see to me the Conference is the Fore the play.  Its the big reveal.  Seeing her completely for the first time.

The showroom floor when you get to play the games is the main event.

The stuff about Ridge Racer 7 leaked out Wed. Morning, so that's the sort of time frame to expect to hear news.

See, though, I tend to blow all of my excitement prematurely on the big reveal.

Seriously, Cube Club 2002. I just couldn't get excited playing some of the games because I had seen so much footage already.

I associate the speech as more of firing the starting pistol or better yet cutting the ribbon on a new building.  You'll get a good speech telling why this is great for the future and the great things about it and then your allowed to flood in and see all the great and left out stuff yourself.

Ceric:

Exactly.  The Speech is to get you excited about the show and to encourage you to stop by the booth.  The speech should have most of the things you will see at the booth in it...and a few things not available for the booth.

The Speech truly is for raising the excitement level.

Now to me, since I can't go to E3.  The floor room describtions of the game and the excitement levels from the media actually playing the games and observing others play is what excites me the most.

The Speech is Four Play

and the Floor Room is all out Nintendo Orgy goodness.

If you don't go to E3 then the speech is what it's all about. Why? Because that's when you FIND OUT about stuff. If you're not going to play it, it's the finding out that's exciting.

Artimus:  Not completely.  I want to find out about it.  But I want to know peoples reactions.

Do they enjoy the games?  Are they fun to play?  What are the crowds like at all the booths?  How is everyone receiving Nintendo this time around?  Where is the largest buzz and excitement?

None of those questions can be answered at just the Press Conference.

Those are good, but there's just nothing like the atmosphere at press conference time, for that one hour everyone on the entire internet is refreshing their browsers and watching the live feed or live updates to see just what is what. There's nothing more I need to know after that, the after-conference things are just the icing on the cake for me, like a game of SSBM the morning after.

Anyway, Famitsu-ton incoming.

I don't even think E3 is comparable to sex.

It's so much better.  I think the speech is orgasm, and then the orgasm just doesn't stop.  It keeps relapsing constantly for the next three days.  Then you have to sit back, sore like you never thought possible, dry as the dust, and realize you've got to get it back up for New Super Mario Brothers.
