Topic: Gamecube Preservation Guidelines?

Hi,

I got my Gamecube fixed and was informed that the lens is about to conk out.  I will probably have the lens replaced when my GC finally breathes its last.

I would like to ask you forum users for guidelines on how to keep the machine humming along.  This goes before and after the replacement.  I'd like to see my Gamecube lasting as long as my DC, which is still active since 1999 .

What's the best way to clean the lens?  Do you even clean the lens at all?  Storage tips... ANYTHING to keep my GC alive.

Check your instruction manual, if you still have it.  There is probably something about that stuff in there.  Other than that I dont know.
