Ducktails, was good, yes.

On topic: the one thing that really interested me from the briefing: Linux will be pre-installed on every ps3 hdd. (link

when a console like "X360 " comes out soon then surely it has lots of problem.but sony is perfect in any electronic stuffs.so no matter ps3 comes late cuz they wanna make another perfect console like olders ones.when u wanna collection of hardware u shud wait.

Quite honestly, I think Gamespot has picked up even worse fanboys than Gamefaqs had...

Also, about the Hard Drive: if it is required to play games, as Sony said, and if they sell it seperatly like possibly hinted at in the article, then Sony has already lost. The hardcore gamers will follow, but the casuals will never agree to slap down a seperate $80-100 for the HD. Of course I don't think they will end up selling the system without it, but why they are even toying with that idea is beyond me and it's sending out a very bad message to those interested in the console.

This announcement makes me realize that Sony and Nintendo have released about the same amount of info on their consoles.  Sony has to have something big planned for E3 too unless they just delay it again or are way behind.  Does anyone ever believe official announcements from these companies, especially Sony?  I can promise my new game console comes from the future and is made of cheese if I'm not held accountable.

Perhaps Sony is planning on selling multiple sizes.  If they did this, it might make more sense to sell the PS3 by itself and then sell two or three hard drive sizes rather than sell two or three PS3 & hard drive bundles.

I think Xbox 360's core and premium packages is more confusing that the above scenerio.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

If Sony decided to sell multiple size harddrives it would make since to package one within the unit and then package that is smaller than one would want...like a 10GIG or something, and then sell the 60GIG along side it.

You say, but hey they cost the same price...and they do, but if you do it this way, you can get people to fork over more money for the larger harddrive.
