Really?  I don't like that.  I think the dead shouldn't have any communication (private or public) with other players regarding the game.

It's more fun if a dead ninja and a dead pirate can talk about who's who.  Or if a dead mobster can tell a dead townie who's who.  The post in the mafia thread are more entertaining to read when you're dead if you know who's who.

On the other hand, I suppose it is difficult (read:  impossible) to monitor what's being said in private messages and chats, so there's really no way of stopping the dead from revealing eveything they know (even if it's cheating).

The Pirates and Ninjas would be foolish to tell a townie who is who.  There's no monitoring IMs or PMs as you say, so there's no point in making a rule about it.  Generally people will side with whatever team they were on.

I understand all that.  It's a shame we can't trust dead people to shut up.  Bill was nice enough to tell me KnowsNothing was the one who killed me a few days before it was revealed that KnowsNothing was the Ninja-Pirate, and it was kinda fun to watch him post and know he was lying through his teeth.

Yeah, here its been hard to tell who really is mafia and who's not. I mean, there was no evidence that KN was the serial killer, I must have looked like I was acting strange (honestly, if I had been in your shoes, I'd have killed me, too. After all, I almost got you killed repeatedly), and generally it was the quiet ones we should have been worried about.
