Trying to figure out who's who by psychonanalyzing pryo is pointless. TWO THIRDS of all the people who signed up got roles. There is absolutley no evidence that the selection wasn't random.

Deguello, the defacto mafia bid, got singled out because I pointed out he voted early/arbitrarily (and because stevey made an early revenge vote). You'll note that while the mafia jumped on the oppertunity I gave them, I haven't. That may have to do with the fact, that, among other things, vudu did the exact same thing when he voted on TVman the first day.

Seventeen people signed up.  The three best roles in the game are Godfather #1, Godfather #2, and Cop.

What are the odds that the three surviving members of the previous game got all the best roles by random chance?  Slim to none.

I'm sorry, did Deguello survive the last game?

There are 4 mafia members and 4 votes for deg. I'm not saying everyone who has voted for deg at this point is a mafia member. What I am saying is that, in this point in the game, the mafia have the power to make it seem like something is a sure thing even when it's not.

Though it may not appear this way, the vote is still wide open at this point.

They wouldn't.  It's the ramblings of a mad man.  (Well, I guess they could be.  But it seems highly unlikely.)

Did you even read my posts?

Three positions:  Godfather #1, Godfather #2, Cop.
Three members:  Pale, IceCold, TVman.

I said Deguello is a mafia member because it's the only available position that's not taken by someone else and I don't think Pryo would have given Deguello the position of Townie.  (For reasons listed above.)

Why would the two mafias be voting together?

Because deg is just a townie?

edit: but let's assume only one mafia is voting for him. Fine. That's 3 votes from the mafia. That means only one townie has voted for deg so far, and 2 have voted for vudu.

edit2:

Except you didn't give any reasons above.

You said you think the 3 surviving players from last game were given the best roles, because you think godfather1, 2, and cop are the best roles. ...Now, arguably, the best roles this time around were the rat and the captain...but I'll leave that aside. Let's pretend this argument holds water for now.

Then you said you think pryo is giving all the mods roles because he gave ty one. This argument holds no water. Statisitcally, Ty, as well as every other player, was more likely to get a role than not. Therefore, one mod getting a role means diddly-squat as far as deguello is concerned.

If the best evidence you can come up with is that you think pryo might've been inclined to make deg a mafia member for whatever reason, you don't really have any evidence. I thought for sure pryo was going to make animecyberat the rat. He didn't.

Yeah, but having the townies dead wouldn't help the Reggie Mafia much - then the Kaplan Mafia would just exterminate the rest of the Reggie Mafia - thus they'd lose - So why would the Reggie Mafia be interested in working with the Kaplan Mafia?

It's not a matter of "working with". The mafias make decisions seperatley, I assume. The reggies might jump on board with a townie because they thought it was the only way to defeat a bandwagon against one of their own. Or they might jump on board because they think someone is a kaplan even when they're not. Or the reggie mafia might not jump on board. It doesn't matter.

All I'm saying is that you can expect any canidate that isn't a mafia member to get 3-5 votes automatically.

"And the winner for Most Likely to be Mafia Award goes to," Judge Bob announced, "Stevey!!!  Stevey, please step up and claim your bullet to the head!"

And so Stevey was brought upstage and quickly disposed of.  Afterward, everyone in town started looting his house.  Unfortunately, while everyone did find a lot of great stuff, no one found any sign of him being a member of Mafia.  Shortly before leaving for home with all his possessions, everyone realized they'd got the wrong man.  The pang of guilt, though, was easily assuaged by the vintage Beatles albums and fine china.

So, Stevey the townie may have died an innocent man, but at least he did not die in vain.
