I'm guessing they're referring to the fact that no one (generally) likes having their junk wedged up into their asscrack (for a visual representation of this, see any episode of "Reign, the Conquerer").

It'd be impossible for briefs to not provide support.

As much as we still make fun of stevey, his posts have improved tenfold since he first joined.  He's turned into a complete member of the PGC community.  I don't think anyone still thinks he's a joke account.  Cheers.
